Outer Spaces is an American reality makeover television series produced by Screen Door Entertainment for HGTV in which viewers nominate their friends or relatives for garden makeovers by lifestyle expert Susie Coelho and a makeover team.
The series originally premiered in the USA on HGTV in 2003. There are 65 half-hour episodes in five seasons.
Outer Spaces premiered in South Africa on DStv's The Home Channel on Saturday 7 June 2008, at 08h00. There are 13 episodes in the first season.

Synopsis
In Outer Spaces viewers conspire with the design team and host to give their spouse, friend or relative the backyard of their dreams.
With cameras rolling, host Susie Coelho and the crew arrive at their home and start work, to the complete astonishment and utter amazement of the 'victim.'
They are whisked away for the night and when they return, the new garden is revealed. The space they've always imagined is brought to life with a little help from the crew.
