Synopsis

This comedy series, that presents a fresh and modern look at Afro-American life during the 90's Rhythm and Blues era, stars recording sensation Brandy Norwood, popularly known as Brandy.

In this series she portrays the role of Moesha "Mo" Mitchell, a bright, hip teenage girl who copes - with the help of her diary - with the pressures and demands of growing up.

Moesha's close-knit family has been disrupted by the arrival of her father Frank's new bride, Dee, a headstrong, caring woman who wants very much to be a real stepmother to Frank's kids.

Moesha, accustomed to being the caretaker to her father and younger brother, suddenly feels that she is no longer an essential part of the family.

Moesha also learns that dating has its disappointments, but with the help of her friends and her unique sense of humour, she's able to take it all in stride.

As Moesha tells her diary, it's all part of the learning process, in this perceptive and funny series about coming of age.

The series stars Brandy Norwood, William Allen Young, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Countess Vaughn, Marcus T. Paulk, Lamont Bentley, Yvette Wilson, Shar Jackson, Fredro Starr and Ray J.

The executive producer is Ralph R. Farquhar and the series is produced by Regan Jon Productions in association with Big Ticket Television.
