Out of Gen for Season Ten

TVSA can confirm that Generations: The Legacy has the green light for Season 10, premiering on Monday 20 November.

With new seasons comes the usual culling of characters, either because the actors have something better to do or because their characters have run out of storylines or because they looked at someone funny.

Okay, maybe not, but who knows right?

The SABC tells us that these four actors will be leaving the Generations stage this year:

- Buntu Petse (now a star on Netflix),

- Karabo Maseko and Zizipho Buti, who were promoted to starring cast exactly three years ago for Season 7,

- and Rebaone Kgosimore, who's only been a Moroka since March this year.

We've covered the arrival of each of them (links to nostalgic articles below) and we'll keep a lookout for what they do next.

This from the SABC and producers Morula Pictures:

These actors have consistently portrayed their talent, dedication and versatility - captivating viewers and earning them a special place in the hearts of fans. We will miss them and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

The characters of Nontle, Luyolo, Tracy and Paul can still be seen on our screen until the end of November/early December when a dramatic story-arc reaches a mind-blowing conclusion.

Cutting Rebaone just because people were not willing to see him improve is totally a shame coming from the GTL directing crew. They could have minimised his appearances while letting him grow as an actor, But anyway, it has been done. Now that Buntu is leaving, I felt it was ideal to bring in a new LGBT character considering they do not want to expand Hlomla.
Zizipo is awesome but I feel like all her stories had been exhjausted. Same as Luyolo.

We need a whole new package at the commune. More drama
