League Of Glory

The year 2010 will see the dreams of many culminate in the greatest sporting event that Africa has ever hosted – the Soccer World Cup.
League of Glory tells the story of the dreams and aspirations of three young boys from the Stellenbosch area in South Africa as they move into manhood. Jonathan Grant, Kaiser Sigcau and Luke Jantjes were born into very different worlds, but through soccer they forge a friendship that will carry them into adulthood and beyond.
It is an aspirational story of their triumph over adversity as we see each boy face his fears and in so doing, show admirable qualities of the human spirit.
The heart of the series deals with the issues and conflicts within the Grant, Jantjes and Sicgau families.
Through the series the boys deal with life and its many curve-balls. The drama looks deep into the hearts of each boy as they face their individual challenges. The drama also focuses on the diverse characters who influence them in their choices- parents, girlfriends, and of course, their soccer coach.
The series is currently in production in Stellenbosch, Cape Town.
