"You don’t have to spend a lot to have a gracious existence.” – Brini Maxwell
Sabrina "Brini" Maxwell is the creation of Ben Sander and became a cult television personality after running a show on the cable access channel in Manhattan.
The show became The Brini Maxwell Show after it was picked up by the Style Network in 2004.
The Brini Maxwell Show is a satirical home improvement show and was originally delivered from Maxwell's Manhattan apartment.
It has a 50's-retro feel and Maxwell has been described as "part Donna Reed, part Mary Tyler Moore". She shares her home design, household and entertainment tips, interview guests from Helen Gurley Brown to burly firefighters, divulges her beauty secrets and dabbles in retro cuisine.
Brini describes herself as a "child prodigy in the area of domestic science" whose home and fashion tips are 100 percent user-friendly.
The Brini Maxwell Show will be broadcast in South Africa on The Home Channel from 1 July 2006.
