King Kong is the 2005 remake of the original 1933 King Kong film about a fictional giant ape called Kong. It was directed by Peter Jackson.
Set in the 1930s, the golden years of Hollywood, King Kong stars Naomi Watts as Ann Darrow, a down and out beauty who is talent spotted by Carl Denham, a desperate film maker.
Denham assembles a cast for his last chance to impress Hollywood, and heads over to Skull Island to shoot his dream movie, featuring the island's resident monster gorilla King Kong.
The leading lady though makes an impression on the brute and he's captured and brought to the US where he's made a side show for a disbelieving public.
