Hayley Owen Isidingo 1

She played tough-talking game ranger Angie on The Wild and now Hayley Owen turns manipulative and cunning on Isidingo. The 27-year-old actress will be playing her namesake (i.e. Hayley) on Isidingo in a story arc involving Len, his brother Gary, Calvin and a deadly turn of events.

Hayley's an acquaintance of Len's who he met through Gaz 10 years ago. She arrives in town with a dark, secretive past and spins the commune guys into a web of her lies. She also twists Calvin into risking everything to save her.

Hayley (the actress not the character) studied drama at the University of Witwatersrand and went on to do an internship with the Playback Theatre Company in London. While she was there she was a TV presenter for the SKY Gambling channel - she had to get a croupier's license for the job.

She returned to South Africa in 2010 and joined The Wild in February 2012. Most recently she appeared as showgirl Tallulah on the SABC3 casino drama High Rollers.

She makes her Isidingo debut on Tuesday, 23 April.

She's such a beautiful actress, she was gorgeous on the wild, but looks so frumpy here.. maybe it's a bad pic. Maybe it's because Isidingo isn't in HD. Wonder why they chose the character name based on the actress' name.

Ja, I'm also wondering that charmed ... wondering if they thought: "Ah let's stick with her name 'cos we're not in the mood to think of a different name."
