Rachel Burden is an English radio presenter and voice artist best known in the UK for presenting the Weekend Breakfast on Radio 5 Live show every Saturday and Sunday morning. Born in Marlow in Buckinghamshire, she grew up in a sporting household playing football with her four brothers. Following four years at University College Dublin - where she studied History and Political Science - Rachel attended Cardiff University to study Broadcast Journalism. Her radio career started as a reporter and producer at BBC Radio Suffolk, where she immersed herself in the life of the city and its sporting life by living practically next door to Ipswich Town football club on Portman Road. She moved to BBC Radio Bristol after a year and started presenting its breakfast programme in January 2003. She now regularly presents the Breakfast and Drive programmes, covering international news and sports events for the BBC live from the studio and abroad. As of June 2008 she is the narrator of the documentary television series Nature Inc., which airs worldwide on BBC World. Her greatest passions are sport (in general - but particularly rugby) and her two small children.
