From: East London
Andile was born and raised in East London. He attended Hudson Park High School and after he matriculated he moved to Port Elizabeth where he completed his first year in journalism, but due to financial restraints he had to drop out.
Two years later he attended Cape Tech where he is currently studying Graphic Design.
When Andile is not living in Residence he stays at home with his mother and brother. During his free time he enjoys going out to the movies, clothing shopping and going to the gym.
Andile says he loves listening to music especially jazz because it's inspiring and he thinks that it has a sense of art in it. He also plays first team cricket for UCT.
Andile says he entered The Cut because: “It is my time to take design to another level. Take what I’ve learned at school and apply it to the outside world. I’ve got good social skills and I’ve got creativity that I need to expose.”
What is he hoping to get out of the competition? “I know winning is the ultimate prize. But getting experience and even getting a job opportunity is just as great.”
