David Leisure shot to fame after playing sleazy car salesman, Joe Isuzu in a series of Isuzu advertisements.
He tried his hand at acting for 6 years, before landing a small part in the cult movie, Airplane!. Work was still scarce after this film, and David actually lived out of his VW Bus for a while.
Following a girlfriends advice he attended a TV Commerical Acting workshop and became a spokesperson for Bell Atlantic Yellow Pages, before landing the role as Joe Isuzu.
