Mapaseka Koetle is a South African actress and businesswoman best known for her starring role as Dintle on the e.tv soapie Scandal!.

Hailing from Bloemfontein in the Free State, she graduated with a Diploma in Acting for Camera from City Varsity in Johannesburg, in 2011.

Her screen acting career began with a role in the Mzansi Magic short film Second Chances, produced by Andile Ncube, in 2011. In 2012, she starred in the play Show Off, which had a run at the Arts Alive Festival.

In January 2013 she began playing the role of Dintle (maiden name Setuke, later Nyathi) on the e.tv soapie Scandal!, which grew into a starring role.

Having been abandoned by her parents and raised by her aunt, her Scandal! character Dintle is a survivor who does not squirm to use her looks or her charm to improve her status in life.

Dintle's eventful life has seen her marry Mangi while he was in prison; sleep with her father-in-law, Lucas and her husband's cousin Quinton. Among others.

Mapaseka had a cameo role in an episode of the Mzansi Magic comedy-drama miniseries Confessions to Moruti wa Tsotsi which aired on 27 March, 2013 (Season 1, Episode 3).

She was a guest (with Phila Madlingozi) on an episode of the eKasi+ talk show Katch It With Khanyi, hosted by Khanyi Mbau, which aired on 7 November, 2014 (Season 2, Episode 17).

In 2015 she won the Best Supporting Actress award at the second Royalty Soapie Awards for her role as Dintle on Scandal!.

The following year she was a presenter at the 10th South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs).

On 19 July, 2018 she appeared on the SABC3 talk show Afternoon Express to talk about her journey, having fell in love with the performing arts at the age of 13.

The following year she made her feature film debut as a Bus Hostess in Losing Lerato, about a man who kidnaps his daughter after being denied access to her.

She has also appeared as a competitor in a number of celebrity game shows including Lip Sync Battle Africa on MTV Africa (2016), Family Feud South Africa on e.tv (2020) and Celebrity Game Night on E! Africa (2021).

In 2021, Mapaseka landed her second starring role in television when she was cast as Puleng in the SABC2 comedy-drama series Ak'siSpaza, set in a local, family-run supermarket.

The series premiered on 8 April, 2021.
