Mangi Tebeka is a South African actress, dancer and choreographer best known for her starring role as Philiswa in the 1Magic drama series iThemba.
It was her first starring role in television.
Born in the town of Tsomo in the Eastern Cape, she attended the private high school Lady Grey Arts Academy and later the South African State Theatre where she studied Performance Art.
Primarily active in theatre, her television acting debut came in the second season of the SABC1 docu-drama Ngempela, in 2016.
In 2019 she landed her first starring role when she was cast as Philiswa, a young woman whose life comes to a halt when her sister Nomonde - who has been the sole caretaker of their family - stops paying her varsity fees and disappears - in the 1Magic drama series iThemba.
The series, which premiered on 1Magic on 5 October and on Mzansi Magic on 7 October, 2019, also stars Brenda Ngxoli and Vatiswa Ndara.
