Swankie Mafoko is a South African actress best known for her role as Eshe on the SABC2 telenovela Keeping Score. A recurring role, she made her first appearance in Season 1, Episode 4 (25 October, 2016). It was her first credited television role.
In the show, her character Eshe is an ex-cop who falls for a troubled athlete called Jade (Gaosi Raditholo) and enters a relationship with her.
Swankie attended the National School of the Arts from 2010 until she matriculated in 2012, then went to the University of the Witwatersrand from 2013-2016, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts.
Whilst at varsity she worked as a radio news reporter and reader for the campus radio station Voice of Wits. She also co-hosted a Monday night radion show called Life Beats.
Swankie landed her first starring role in television in 2017, in the SABC1 sitcom Rented Family. Her character, Lwazi, is an ambitious and confident mother who comes as a package with her son Gates.
