Mark Rylance is an English actor, theatre director and playwright best known for his starring role as Thomas Cromwell in the period drama miniseries Wolf Hall, which brought him Critics' Choice and Primetime Emmy nominations for leading actor in a Movie or Miniseries. He also co-starred with Tom Hanks in Steven Spielberg's film Bridge of Spies, about the arrest and conviction of Russian spy, Rudolf Abel.
