Poppy Ntshongwana is a South African radio DJ and events MC best known as a presenter on 5FM, since 2005. She began as a contributor to the Fresh Drive and later landed her own show.

From there it was only a matter of time before her personality drew the attention of 5FM, and she was head hunted in 2005.

With her ambitious and driven nature, Poppy worked her way up. She started as a news reader, where she could indulge her passion for current affairs and her love for radio.

She soon joined the Fresh Drive, and became the major contributor of the team that she is today. She's also had her own show since 2007, starting with the New Sound Selection on Sundays 17h00 – 18h00, before moving onto the KFC Global Express chart show on Saturdays 10h00 – 14h00.

Her adventurous spirit comes out in her love for trying new things like shark cage diving, skiing and surfing. Her sporty side has shone through with her getting involved in activities like the Cape Argus Cycle Tour.

Above everything, she does it with style. She's been noted as a fashionista when she won the 2010 SA Style Award for Most Innovative Style.

Poppy has become so much more than just a pretty voice on the radio. She loves mixing it up in the DJ box at all the hottest clubs around the country.
