Bio

Ayanda Bandla is a South African political sciences graduate and reality television personality best known as one of the contestants on the SABC1 reality competition One Day Leader, in 2011.

One Day Leader Bio

21-year-old Ayanda is a B.A. Political Sciences graduate from the University of Pretoria. Her dream for South Africa is for young people to realise the power and strength they posses.

She says "my purpose in life is to be the best Ayanda I can be. There is only one me and only one life to live. I plan to live my life as best as I can. That means living honestly with no regrets. I strive towards being the best daughter, sister, friend, future wife, future mother and future leader of South Africa. With God by my side, I can do all these".

On Ayanda's vision as a leader she says "Sports recreation and the Arts are close to my heart. In more cases than not, sports and the arts allow us as individuals to express ourselves in the best possible way. They also provide platforms for people to come together and be one, irrespective of colour and creed.

"Sports and the Arts enable the essence of Ubuntu to shine through as people work and interact together. Thus, in my community, I would like to engage and encourage young and old to participate, whether it be through physical participation or support by watching or donating funds and or time towards these worthy initiatives.

"I want young people to realise the power and strength they posses; for them to realise the significant difference they can make in this country.

"My dream is for young people to start dreaming big. To set goals for themselves and take all the necessary steps to reach these goals.

"My dream is for us young people to start motivating one another to do the best we can and look up to one another as future leaders, because we are the future and we are leaders in our own respect.

"Finally, my South African dream is for me, individually, to be the change I want to see in the world. I cannot physically change the world, but I can change myself and society around me can change simply because it sees the change in me."

Her personal life motto that she strives and lives by is "Love to live and live to Love!".
