Michael Vartan is an American actor best known for his sci-fi television roles as Michael Vaughn in the action television series Alias, from 2001–2006.
After appearing as a regular cast member through the first four seasons of the series, Vartan returned as a guest star in a limited number of episodes.
Vartan has also had guest appearances on Friends (as Dr. Tim Burke, Tom Selleck's character's son), Ally McBeal (as Jonathan Basset), and also Kitchen Confidential (as a rival French chef) starring his former Alias co-star Bradley Cooper.
From September 2007 to January 2008 Vartan starred in the ABC drama Big Shots, as James Walker.
