Bio
Bongani Madondo is a South African actor, writer, director and acting coach best known for his role as Detective Ndovela on the SABC1 drama series Mtunzini.com, from 2008-2009.
He obtained a Diploma from the Soyikwa Institute of African Theatre, specializing in acting, writing, directing, voice training and voice analysis. He has appeared in countless plays, two of which he wrote himself.
He has appeared in a number of commercials and corporate videos, but Mtunzini.com was his TV drama debut. He also guest starred in the SABC1 sitcom Moferefere Lenyalong, in 2008.
He played the role of Menzi in the e.tv drama series eKasi: Our Stories, in the episode entitled "Neighbours" (Season 2, Episode 1), in 2010.
He conducts casting and continues to teach drama. He is the Head Acting Coach for the Turning Heads casting agency.
Bongani is not to be confused with the Sunday Times journalist of the same name.
In 2013 he played the recurring role of taxi rank hustler Mzi in the Mzansi Magic sitcom Samsokolo. He also had a starring role as Modise in the Mzansi Magic miniseries Shabangu P.I.
