Jason Segel is an American actor best known for his starring role as Marshall Eriksen in the television sitcom How I Met Your Mother.
He is also known for his role as Nick Andopolis in the series Freaks and Geeks (which has not yet aired in South Africa).
His additional television credits include recurring roles in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Undeclared.
Among Segel's feature film credits are Knocked Up with Katherine Heigl and Paul Rudd, Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny, The Good Humor Man, SLC Punk! and Slackers.
He was born and raised in Los Angeles, where he continues to live today.
