Bio
Marina Benedict is an American actress best known for her recurring role as Charlotte Wills in the fourth season of the science fiction television series Torchwood, in 2011.
She is also known for her role as Luna, one of Nikki's friends and a fellow dancer, in the first season if the television sitcom Nikki, from 2000-2001.
Benedict hails out of Seattle, Washington. She has an extensive theatre background including landing a lead role in the International Touring Company of Peace Child at the tender age of 7.
Pursuing her passion for acting, Benedict was accepted at the age of 15 to spend the summer studying at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. She then segued into feature films when chosen from several thousand actors in a nationwide search to play the lead in the independent feature The Spirit.
Benedict was also the lead singer in one of BMG's cutting-edge pop groups, which toured throughout Europe and scored a Billboard Top 40 hit in Germany.
In addition, she is a classically trained dancer who studied with the dance department at The Cornish College of the Arts, won top honors from the acclaimed Royal Academy of Dance in London, and was coached by the famed Ann Reinking (Chicago, All That Jazz).
