The Premiere! Here we go, with the premiere episode of TAR:FE, and the premiere set of questions for the Prediction League. As far as the episode goes, it's not that bad. There are definitely teams to cheer, and teams to boo. The teams with pre-teen children are particularly awesome, at least in my view (you might find some of them a little too precocious). On the other hand, another team is particularly awful to one of their own right from the start. Feel free to boo them. Long-time fans of the show may also recognize a pair of familiar faces in this first hour.
As far as the first set of questions go, I'm a bit nervous, because I'm not sure what will actually be shown in the first hour. Long-time fans know what will be shown on Tuesday night will only be the first hour of what was a 2-hour premiere in the U.S. I suspect that the first hour will end with at least some of the teams arriving at a campsite at the end of the first day of racing; this campsite will be the point for which
First and
Last Places will be determined for this week. I'm just not sure if all the teams will be shown arriving at the campsite in this first hour. If not, I'll simply reveal who arrives last afterwards (it's not really a spoiler, since this team is not eliminated at the campsite). Also this week, there will be no
Roadblock or
Titleist (since the title gven to the premiere is uttered during the second hour).
To make up for the lack of regular questions, this week there will be
12 bonus questions! (Note to newbies: the usual number is around five.) Hopefully, the answers to all these questions will actually be shown in the first hour; if not, again I will just reveal the answers afterwards.
I know it will be especially difficult for you to guess these without having seen a single minute of footage--especially since you have 40 people to pick from, almost twice the usual number! But like last season, this season we will be giving
partial credit for picking the wrong person on the right team. So hopefully somebody will manage to score a few points this week! So here are the…
Bonus Questions:The numbers in brackets are point values of each question. If there are two numbers, the first number is the full credit score, and the second is the partial credit given for picking the wrong person on the right team.
