If I had to wait a few months before seeing the next episode it would be equal to pricking my wrist with a pin and dying a slow and painful death from the loss of blood.

THERE ARE SO MANY LOOSE ENDS – so many questions that are unanswered.

Let’s firstly talk about the Great Escape. All those holes in the walls that were never used.

A lot of hard work and thought went into planning that for it not to be used. OK, so he retrieved his personal items from the store room but he used just one hole for that.

And quite frankly if they did not need the hole and just used St Louis, then A LOT of drama could have been avoided.

Secondly – Abruzzi. He was supposed to arrange transport. If C-Note could arrange a car at such short notice, surely Michael could have come up with some alternate plan as well. So if they don’t have Abruzzi, what part of their plan is not going to work?

AND is Abruzzi OK????

Even though he was going slightly loco on us, he has grown on me. So know if the other guys make it out what is going to happen to Abruzzi? Assuming he make it.

Thirdly, Are they going to escape or not? They payoff line is: escape is just the beginning” so do they or don’t they? We know there are 22 definite episodes and I believe that MNet have bought the 2nd series already. Luckily we don’t have to wait 3 whole months – we can watch it next week.

And with the bomb that Hale dropped tonight – I want to know the answer to the burning question that is on everyone’s lips… Where the hell is Terence Steadman?

Let the recap begin:

Abruzzi is being carried on a stretcher toward a helicopter. Dr. Sara is with him, talking to him all the time to make sure he does not loose consciousness. HE discusses his blood type with the paramedic on board and they say he is being taken to Chicago Hospital which is a 20 minute ride.

We see the PI guys run toward the fence to see what is going on with their friend Abruzzi.

T-Bag saunters up to them and says “And then there were 6”

To which C-Note comments “far as I know, it’s 5”

He is referring to Lincoln off course and then we see Lincoln being beaten up the CO he punched. After a good couple of rounds, Lincoln gets dragged off to a cell in solitary confinement.

Michael begs Pope to see his brother but Pope refuses. He says there are just 36 HOURS left until Lincoln’s execution and he as become desperate and dangerous.

In the yard, Sucre is on the phone trying to get someone at the hospital to tell him how Abruzzi is. They say it is not protocol and hang p on him. I don’t know if that’s bad news or just protocol because surely if he was ok they would have said so??

Sucre goes back to tell the others his lack of information and Michael tells them that the plan must be put on hold.

The others are up in arms and threaten to leave without him. Michael is desperate and tries to persuade them to hold on for a while.

The guys with the MOST to lose if they don’t get out are surprisingly patient. DB needs to get to his daughter and Sucre needs to get to Maricruz before she marries that dickwad, Hector. As far as I know C-Note and T-Bag have no real rush but they’re the ones pushing to leave right away. Assholes.

C-Note says that yes, they do have respect for Michael because the whole plan was his and it was intended to get Lincoln out of Prison, BUT the train was leaving the station.

Michael and Sucre are in their cell. Michael is sitting with his head in his hands not knowing what to do.

He knows that if the other guys escape, the guards will turn the prison inside out until they find out how they did it.

Sucre admits that he has thought about leaving with the others, he tells Michael that Lincoln is as good as strapped to the chair and if Michael doesn’t leave he would be stuck at Fox Pen for 5 years, 10 years if they discover he had anything to do with the escape.

But then Sucre says that he would not leave his brother to die like that. Because no-one deserves to die strapped to THAT chair.

I have come to fall more and more in love with Fernando Sucre. He is just so adorable, isn’t he? Despite his macho appearance he is really quite a softie and one has to wonder what exactly got him into prison in the first place.

In hospital Nick hangs up the phone and tells Veronica that he has good news.

He has spoken to his contact at the court and if the evidence Veronica is about to get pans out, he is willing to file the paperwork so that they can get a stay in execution for Lincoln.

Veronica decides to go to Fox Penn to tell Lincoln and Nick is worried about her showing her face around.

She says that they have to go big. They have to go public.

Nick wonders if it’s a wise idea and Veronica says that “it’s the bottom of the ninth (baseball term), what else are they going to do?”

Back to Michael and Sucre still in their cell. Michael tells Sucre that they will go ahead with the plan.

Sucre wants to know about Lincoln. Michael just asks him for a blade, to which Sucre says that he cant get him out with a blade.

Michael sterilizes the blade and proceeds to cut himself on the arm –cant make out what the tattoo is of though – anyone know what it is??

Once he has cut enough open, he slips out a black pill,

C-Not is on the phone. He is talking to his daughter, who thinks he is in Iraq with the camels.

He then speaks to his wife who is under the same impression. He tells her he is coming home soon and she offers to pick him up from the station, but he says the army has taken care of everything.

He asks to speak to Darius, his wife’s brother, and tells him he needs a favor. He doesn’t say what it is, but he does ask how many people can fit into SUV, so we know what C-Note is getting at.

Michael and the reverend are praying in Michael’s cell. Reverend tells Michael that if Lincoln accepts the Lord as his savior, then he will be free.

Michael hands the Reverend a rosary and asks him to give it to Lincoln as it would mean a lot to him. The reverend agrees.

When the Reverend leaves Sucre comes in and groans that it was his mothers, but Lincoln assures him that his mother will be pleased that it helped someone.

Michael is in the infirmary having his arm taken care of by Dr. Sara.

He says that she has always been there for him and wonders if things could have been different.

She just says that she will not be “that woman”. Which I presume means “other” woman.

He goes on thanking her and she says it sounds like he is saying good bye.

He grabs her arm softly and they share an oh-so-tender moment before they both leave.

And as they leave maintenance guy comes in to clear the bins out. And as he grabs the bin his eye catches something. He walks out quite quickly so we are not quite sure what had caught his attention.

The time on Michael’s watch says it’s nearly 4. It is time. Michael and Sucre embrace and wish each other good luck as Bellick hollers: “PI, Lets do it”

The dramatic irony of it all!

The reverend joins Lincoln in his cell and tells him he prayed with Michael – to which Lincoln dryly retorts “he must be desperate”

The reverend then hands Lincoln the rosary that Michael gave to him. When the Reverend leaves, Michael inspects the rosary and finds that one of the ends is loose.

He takes it apart and finds the black pill with a message that reads: EAT 8:10.

Outside the prison walls there are protestors opposing the death penalty and a news van covering the events. Veronica pulls up and heads towards the news van.

Two female Secret Service agents are watching the scene from their car. (The one was the pretend journalist that threatened Lincoln) They spot Veronica and the one is on the phone to Kellerman and reports the goings on.

She also tells him that Hale had not shown up for duty.

Kellerman immediately calls Hale, who is busy packing hurriedly. Hale instructs his wife not to pick up the phone and continues packing. HE tells them to make sure she gets everything she needs because they are not coming back.

He tells her he needs to go on one last errand and then they will leave on the 11’oclock flight.

Veronica goes to the news crew and tries to get their attention. Only when a producer hears that she is representing Lincoln Burrows, does she get a hearing though.

In the break room the PI group wants to know from Michael what the next course of action is.

He says that they have to wait until 9. Only problem is, PI ends at 5.

Michael then rips the dry wall off to reveal a water pipe. Sucre passes him sledge hammer and gives the pipe a few whacks.

The pipes burst, showering the crew with water.

Bellick enters and screams at them about their incompetence.

Michael says they will fix it in the morning and that he is sure no mold will set in.

Falling for the bait, Bellick insists that they stay in the break room until everything is dry and fixed.

Which means that the plan is back on track. Sorta. There’s just no Abruzzi and hopefully Lincoln will be ready as well.

Veronica is being interviewed by one of the reporters live on TV.

She tells them that someone is covering the truth and there is a string of evidence that a source has that will exonerate Lincoln Burrows.

From her office, madam Vice President is watching the news and is hopping mad. She suspects, quite rightly so, that someone has been talking.

The maintenance crew is testing the electric chair and when they flip the switch Lincoln sees the lights flickering and he knows what it signifies.

Veronica is being shown to Lincoln’s cell. I suppose it is because he is not allowed out and as his attorney she has a right to see him.

She notices the dark room and demands that they give him light or else law suits will follow.

She hugs Lincoln and tells him that they have a new lead.

She tells him that whatever Michael is planning, they can call off, because she will get proof of his innocence soon.

She says those famous last words “Don’t give up on me” and gives him a lingering kiss.

As Mrs. Hale opens the door to move some suitcases and on her doorstep is Kellerman with his fake smile. He sees the empty living room and wonders what is going on.

Mrs. Hale claims they are going to the Bahamas and even to me she looks like she’s packed way too much.

Kellerman is obviously suspicious and moves inside to question her.

Just a little after 8, Lincoln asks the CO for the time. I am worried that he will listen to Veronica and not follow through on Michael’s plan but he swallows the pill.

Soon his stomach starts to cramp and he is writhing on the floor with pain.

The CO’s rush him on s stretcher to the infirmary and one of them calls for Dr. Sara.

In the break room C-Note tells Michael that it’s Nine o’clock. SHOWTIME.

By now my nerves are shattered. I am going through all kinds of emotions hoping against hope that they will be able to pull this thing off.
With all of 24 hours left to Lincoln’s execution, SOMETHING has to be done.

They move the carpet to reveal the hole and Michael moves down first.

Sara checks Lincoln out and says that he has food poisoning. Which, apparently, is not sick enough to be excused from the electric chair. The show must go on.

She administers a drip and allows him some recovery time in the infirmary.

YES! Things are moving according to plan.

Outside the prison walls, an SUV pulls up and Darius and a friend get out.

They pop the hood and pretend that something is wrong with their car.

Veronica is at the appointed dark alley and sees Hale. He tells her they have a lot to talk about and not much time.

He says that Lincoln was picked out a long time ago to take the wrap for the murder. He has a list of names of all the people involved.

Veronica is interested in who DID kill Steadman, to which Hale replies. “Nobody. Terrence Steadman’s still alive.”

WHAT??? My heart cannot take this excitement. This is EXACTLY what they need to free Lincoln. But where is he? Where is the proof?

Hale hears my questions and reaches into his jacket and pulls out an envelope with all the names. But before he can hand it to her, he sees lights approaching and tells her to hide.

Lo and behold, it’s that dam Kellerman. He takes Hale’s gun from him and just then the envelope falls from Hale’s pocket. Kellerman takes a look at the list and is surprised to see his own name there.

Outraged, more like it.

Hale pleads for his life but Kellerman knows what he has to do. He pulls the trigger and Hale falls while Veronica looks on from her place in the dark.

Michael and the boys climb up the rope and into the maintenance room. Michael smiles when he hears Lincoln call his name but his smile quickly disappears when he sees the pipe.

The maintenance guy that was in Dr. Sara’s office earlier had obviously spotted the rust and they had come in to replace the whole damn pipe.

Michael tries to break it down from his side while Lincoln has taken off his drip and tried to penetrate it from the top side.

They are banging away when a CO walks past. They quiet down just long enough for him to pass and resume their attempt to escape.

Outside, some CO’s had spotted the SUV and walked towards Darius and his friend. Darius tries to explain that they have a fault and one of the CO’s leans over and plugs something in and tells him to start it again.

And off course it starts, so they have to leave, taking along with them the transportation the guys were counting on.

Back inside the pulling and knocking resumes but Michael knows it is hopeless.

T-Bag doesn’t want to accept it though. He pulls out a knife and says that Michael has GOT to get them out of there.

And so ends yet another nail biting episode of Prison Break.

I was on the edge of my seat, not able to utter a sound till the very end – and those I cant repeat here.

Till next week folks and I can say I am DAM glad I don’t have to wait a few months for the next episode.
