After being deflowered by Longamo, Nomabali lies about it. Melisizwe is compromised. Khosi is taken to get ready to marry Longamo against her will. Khosi gives Melisizwe the ultimate gift.

Khosi’s marriage to Longamo is called off. Khosi and Melisizwe are back together again after her pregnancy becomes public knowledge. Athi’s ntlawulo delegation is a joke. Longamo fights with his mother over her interference.

Khosi escapes to safety, but Melisizwe is captured by MamCwerha, who tries to kill him. Zuko goes large to charm Athi. Longamo fights with his mother over her interference.

MamCwerha pushes Longamo over the edge and it seals her fate. Zuko is surprised by the response he gets from the family of his ex. A mission to rescue Melisizwe is set up by MamThembu.

Longamo is determined to find Khosi and bring her back to the village, but Melisizwe won’t have it. Zuko is not pleased with Lerumo going behind his back and things turn bad.

Melisizwe is brave and loyal when he’s being tortured and doesn’t give up Khosi and baby’s location. Zuko learns of Athi’s complicated family dynamic. MamThembu and the elders convince Longamo to stop torturing Melisizwe.

Smallpox Outbreak
The village is faced with a new challenge as a contagious disease, smallpox, breaks out and spreads quickly. Khosi and the others must act quickly to contain the disease. Zuko hires an investigator to help him find Khosi. Nomabali’s health condition deteriorates.

Pestilence and Death
Death and destruction loom over the village, while Athi suspects that Zuko is still searching for Khosi.
The smallpox is spreading. Nomabali dies and is buried without a ceremony.

The Struggle is Real
Melisizwe struggles with the solution to the smallpox problem while Longamo pretends the problem doesn’t exist. Zuko is torn between his future and his past. Athi gets on board with the wedding plans and Zuko.
