Survivor South Africa has the greenlight for Season 9 in 2022. Survivor All Stars! Or rather... Survivor: Return of the Outcasts.
Players who've been outwitted and outplayed on previous seasons return for a second shot. Players who never made it to the final Tribal Council.
The news was revealed at a MultiChoice 2022 Showcase today (25 November) and the new season's been scheduled to start in July 2022.
It's currently in pre-production and the casting's hush-hush, currently underway apparently.
My advice: keep a watch on past contestants' socialz to see if there's any clue as to whether they've been Chosen.
Afrokaans will be producing again and the location hasn't been confirmed yet but hopefully it'll remain in our gorgeous South Africa - if Shell hasn't blasted our Wild Coast away by then!
In other, related news... Seasons 6, 7 and 8 have been sold to additional international countries. We know the show was sold to Australia's 10Play when Season 8 was airing here and now Amazon in the UK and Viacom in America have bought the three seasons.
All very exciting for everyone involved but there's something that sucks bigtime... it's not possible for my beloved Anela to be in Outcasts because he was in the Season 8 final two.
He did too well.
