It feels so good to be ahead of the times and this is what we are when it comes to Genius: Picasso

The second season of the anthology series premiered in a double bill on National Geographic on Sunday night (22 April) at 20h05 and it turns out South Africa is now two episodes ahead of the rest of the world.

It hasn't even started in the rest of the world yet - it only premieres tonight (24 April).

We're NEVER in a situation where we see a show before the Holy Grail of America so this is extremely noteworthy because we've been put first for once instead of being forced into being behind-the-times. Also, we're doubly first.

We're two episodes ahead because it started with a double bill for us but not for them. By the time they finish episode one, we'll have seen eps three and the rest of the world will be in our rear view mirror, eating our dusssst.

Omg it was amazing! Banderas was a good casting decision. I don't know much about Picasso save for the fact that he was this great artist, so this show is a treasure trove of information for me. Looking forward to watching again on Sunday.

Ditto, ditto Dezi.. it's brilliant! I also know little about him and it's fascinating - I love seeing how his life, politics and personal relationships influenced his art.

I'm finding myself googling his art to experience it - the opening sequence is Genius too.
