What you need to know about Uzalo's Mbhekiseni

48-year-old maths teacher Mbhekiseni Fakasi (played by Simo Magwaza) arrived on Uzalo on Monday (1 May) and immediately took a shine to MaMlambo (Gugu Gumede), shutting them in behind closed doors.

What nobody realises yet is that his charm hides the fact that he's a menace to society.

MaMlambo doesn't have a clue about his past and she's going to give her lonely, trusting heart to him.

The only people who know are those of us who've seen the Uzalo teasers - and Thobile (Nokuthula Mabika), who drops a bomb soon.

Thobile's going to reveal that he's her uncle and things get explosive when she accuses him of raping her when she was a child.

We got our clutches on Mbhekiseni's official character bio to give you the inside scoop on what you need to know about him:

He is patient, calm, well-mannered and very charming. He also uses those qualities to be manipulative, especially to young girls. He takes extra care of how he looks. People are drawn to him since he goes all out for the next person.

He is a widower. His wife died in a car accident when a taxi collided with his car. Since he was the one driving, he blames himself. He never touched a car from that day. This explains why he doesn’t drive.

He teaches Mathematics - this is why the Education Department has never fired him even after numerous complaints against him but only transferred him around since good Maths teachers are hard to find.

Most men call him by his izithakazelo, Fakude, especially Captain Mthimkhulu.

Weakness: He has an evil quality.

Strength: Charming

Wants: To be always in control.

3 flash facts on Simo:

- He was born in KZN.
- He was nominated for a SAFTA in the category Best Supporting Actor for his role as Moses in Hard Copy 3.
- He has an extensive theatre resume.
