Ernest / Sphesihle / Khabonina
There's
still no word on Uzalo's move to five days a week (#yawn) but there is news of a different kind about what to expect from the future. Three new characters arrive soon: Nokuthula, Amos and Jojo.
The fittest person in the world and Isidingo star Khabonina Qubeka arrives first as Nokuthula, who has a growl. She's described as a "dangerous cougar who shakes up the life of a troubled young boy". Scary stuff.
The role doesn't impact on her Nina exploits on Isidingo because it's a guest starring stint. She's finished filming with Uzalo and word from Isidingo is that she's still very much with the show, filming daily. She arrives on Uzalo on Monday, 24 October.
Yizo Yizo and Zone 14 star Ernest Msibi also pops up in October as Amos, a troublemaker who causes an unusual unrest in KwaMashu.
And then there's Jojo, played by newcomer Sphesihle Cele. No, no, he's not Jack Mabaso's daughter but rather GC's (Khaya Dladla) lurve interest. Seems things get sirrrious between them because it isn't a guest stint.
Sphesihle's been signed to the show for the rest of the season so we can expect to see him on GC's arm until February at least.
