Of course Ashes to Ashes' Tsietsi (Nyaniso Dzedze) didn't look quite like this when he was a teen but he was a player of note back then already. All the girls wanted him at school but he only had eyes for one: Malaika, played by Thuli (City Ses'la, The Mayor, iThuba Lokugcina, isiBaya).

Malaika arrives in late June and she has a history of heartbreak with Tsietsi. She’s opinionated, extroverted, competitive and she was the one girl who was able to break Tsietsi’s heart.
He fell in love with her but she ditched him because she didn't trust him. He broke the hearts of all the girls he dated and she was convinced he was going to do the same to her so she decided to hurt him before he could hurt her.
She works for AWUSA so her and Tsietsi are going to reunite during the negotiations of a deal between AWUSA and Namane Funerals. It's a cameo role so she won't be around forever - just long enough to make an impact on Tsietsi.
Another new character arrives soon too: Disebo, played by TV and film actress Shoki Mokgapa (The Lab, Intersexions).
Disebo joins Namane Funerals as a temporary funeral planner after running away from her home in the Free State. She left her family after being forced into an arranged marriage and fled to Joziburg where she changed her identity before landing her job with the Namanes.
