Murder of innocents: OpenView HD's disgusting new channel

*WARNING*

This article and the pics within it are extremely upsetting so please be prepared for what you're about to see.

It's been a long time since I've been so shocked and traumatised by a TV show or channel that I'm struggling to express the intensity of what I'm feeling without losing it completely!!! I'm so shocked, disgusted and OUTRAGED I can't stop shaking as I sit here writing this, trying to comprehend how it's possible that such brutality can be allowed.

There's a new locally produced channel launching on OpenView HD on Friday called Wild TV Africa. At first it sounds promising - as if it's an African version of National Geographic that loves and respects wildlife and animals and our natural world. But NO - it's the furthest thing from it because it's riddled with the murder and slaughter of animals for sport and pride.

This is what's on the channel...

Heart crushing and awful. The death and destruction of innocent creatures who've done NOTHING to anyone. Pictured in their darkest hour as "trophies" for their killers.

There are at least seven different hunting shows on the channel - all as bloodthirsty as the pictures. Most of them have teams of men dressed as if they're at war - which is so pathetic and sicko I could die. There's even one with the porno title of Extreme Desire TV.

There's also one that centres round a woman called Larysa who goes on what are described as "adventures" that involve killing things as if she's some sort of "tough chick" because she can take an innocent life.

Most of them are American and filmed in America and there's a South African one too. Here's a link to them so you can see the horror for yourself: Hunting shows.

There are other shows on the channel with other genres such as camping, biking and fishing but I stopped short when I saw the deluge of hunting shows because they immediately defined the channel for me.

So unbelievable and criminal - I don't know how it can be legal. I also can't comprehend how the channel can be allowed to broadcast in such an eco-sensitive country such as South Africa where illegal hunting is such a huge problem.

AND all within this week. The very week in which Cecil the Lion was murdered by the psychopath American dentist in Zimbabwe. The dentist who has other sickening "trophies" that he's obviously hunted in Africa before. How DARE he. And how dare anyone who does it. Who says they can?? The way people come to Africa to kill our wildlife is beyond DISGUSTING and the fact that it's happening round the world exposes the very darkest side of the Force.

The fact that it's going to be glorified on TV in this new channel is completely and utterly unacceptable. On behalf of all the animals who can't speak for themselves, I say: NO.
