Nkosinathi Zwane, professionally known as Mzambiya and Candy Mokwena of “Tsa-Mandebele” fame are celebrating their respective birthdays on 20 June. The duo is set to release their respective singles on the night and a host of artists will be serenading audiences throughout the night.
The birthday bash is happening at Taboo in Sandton and is going 18:00 to 6:00 style.
The event also celebrates Mzambiya’s 15-year career within the music industry and will include a Tribute Concert featuring a line-up of some of Mzansi’s top class musicians which include among others: Uhuru, UDU, Maphorisa, Busiswa, Mpumi, Nokwazi, Winnie Khumalo, Mshoza, Arthur Mafokate, Howza, Mapaputsi, Ishmael, Cassper Nyovest, Ntukza (Teargas), Rev Tumza (GP Gangsta), Hypnotik, DJ Infinix, DJ Lady T, DJ Sbu, DJ Switch, DJ Sliqe, DJ AJ, DJ Fanatic, DJ Radix, DJ Sandiso, DJ Kayga, DJ Score, DJ City Lytes & eMtee and DJ Rhee.
Both Mzambiya and Candy will launch their latest music offerings: a full studio album from Mzambiya to be released thru 999 Music with his new single titled “Blow Your Mind ft. Tendai”.
Candy will also release a brand new single “Lekoba 10NA” from the timeless and incomparable studios of Kalawa-Jazmee Records on the same evening.
The event is open to the public and damage is R150. If you are not around Gauteng, do not despair, the event is expected to draw extensive media coverage ranging from e-tv’s Club 808, SABC 1’s Live Amp, Selimathunzi, YO-TV as well as Soweto TV and Vuzu/Channel O.
