Ashes to Ashes extends to five days a week

It's happened with Muvhango, isiBaya and Scandal! and now it's happening with Ashes to Ashes. From the second week of May the e.tv telenovela extends to Fridays, to broadcast five days a week.

Clearly it's a move by the channel to close all potential gaps. To seal each night of the week so that the show doesn't have a vulnerable night on Fridays with viewers tuning in to other shows and deciding they want to stay.

Ashes to Ashes has been on air for almost two months and attracted an average of 1,350,000 viewers in the latest TAMS ratings. Will audiences increase as a result of the extra night? The TAMS will reveal all.

The first Friday episode airs on 15 May.

Are they also extending they're episodes? Or is it still going to end this year?

The number of episodes stays the same so it's still going to end this year - earlier than previously scheduled.
