Urgent and NOT cool!
SABC1's clearly on a mission to create a similar fiasco to last year's
disastrous Skeem Saam auditions. The channel has the rights to an amazing show and now they're jeopardising it by creating chaos and confusion around The Sing-Off SA auditions.
Suddenly, today, the channel's changed the venue for the Johannesburg auditions.
Auditions start in Joziburg this weekend (14 and 15 March) and were going to be held at The Bassline. Now the venue's changed to The Soweto Hotel instead because of "logistical reasons".
The Bassline was the venue that caused all the trouble with the Skeem Saam auditions so you'd think it would have been the channel's top priority to organise and rectify the situation
before announcing it as the venue to the whole of South Africa.
If you're auditioning for The Sing-Off,
please note: auditions are happening at The Soweto Hotel instead - located on the corner of Union Ave and Main Road, at The Walter Sisulu Square of Dedication, Kliptown, (Freedom Square).
