Your thoughts?

My impressions: The overall category itself is long overdue but there are too many sections. The SAFTAs are already crammed with awards so adding another six detracts from the category instead of adding to it and makes the awards seem even more bulky.

There should only have been two awards: one for Best TV Presenter - covering all shows and one for Best Reality Presenter because it's such a popular genre. Each award would have held added status for the winners because each award would cover much more. The winners could officially say that they're best TV and Reality presenters in the country.

Also, the Best Talk Show Presenter isn't necessary and it's confusing because of the Best Talk Show category. If a show wins Best Talk Show, then surely the presenter's the Best Talk Show Presenter too??

What you are saying makes a lot of sense Tashi. I agree with what you are saying. The ceremony is long enough shem. Last year's co-host Tumi Morake joked she fell pregnant during the show and even gave birth yet the show was not over! I found that to be very irreverent and extremely funny
