The police arrive and pick up the hand floating on the lake.
Daniel Vidal manages to get inside the barn and there he finds the knives and the glass containers with the hearts that “the Hunter” is keeping there. He takes pictures of his findings.
Amador finds Mauricio’s abandoned car. Julian takes Piedad to pick up her things and there he finds old pictures of them. Julian asks Piedad to marry him.

Julian informs the police that Daniel Vidal went to his apartment and that later on he called him but he does not know where he is staying. The police tell Julian that they have tapped his phone and that they will have to ask Piedad some questions.
Daniel Vidal calls Julian and asks him to meet him in an abandoned house. He tells him that he knows he is the “Hunter”.

Valeria talks to Rodrigo and informs him that Piedad is living in Julian’s house; this makes Rodrigo very upset and he looses control, they have to inject him to calm him down.
Carvajal informs Matilde that they found a hand and that the tests showed that it was Mauricio’s hand. She gets very agitated and anxious.
Camilla calls Benjamin and asks him to meet with her.

Daniel Vidal goes to the restaurant where he usually eats and the waiter informs him that the police are looking for him but that he did not give them any information because he always gives him good tips.
Julian notices that Piedad is wearing the ring he gave her and asks her if she wants to marry him - she accepts his marriage proposal but tells him that she does not want a church wedding.
Emilio informs Matilde that Julian and Piedad are thinking of getting married.

Matilde visits Piedad in the apartment she's sharing with Julian under the pretext of apologizing to her because of the way she behaved, but the truth is that she wants to search for Fabiola’s photograph.
Benjamin returns to Tatiana’s house and confronts her for being with Angel - she reproaches him for what he did to her - they end up kissing passionately and making love.
Matilde finds Fabiola’s picture and hides it on her.

Detective Carvajal asks that Rodrigo be set free because now they know for sure he is not the serial killer they call “the Hunter”, but the Police Prefect refuses to sign his release because he believes he could be an accomplice of “the Hunter”.
Matilde is leaving with Emilio at the same time that Julian is arriving at the house and Matilde asks Julian to take Emilio with him because her dad is ill and wants to see him.
Camilla calls Benjamin and asks him to go out with her because she is in very bad shape.

Julian finds Matilde inside the bunker and asks her if there is anyone else who knows where she is and asks her why she followed him.
Matilde tries to run away but Julian follows her and breaks the car window to stop her. Matilde manages to turn on the engine and hits him with the car.
Piedad begs Rodrigo to please return to the rehab center, to stop running.

Julian gets into the gas station and steals the surveillance camera with the tape recordings.
Rodrigo and Piedad have another discussion; Rodrigo tells her that if she does not believe in him he does not understand what she is doing there with him.
The police receive notice of Matilde’s accident and they do not believe she will be able to make it - her condition is serious.

Tatiana calls Benjamin to let him know that Camilla tried to commit suicide with a bottle of pills and that the doctors do not know if she will be able to survive.
Detective Carvajal informs the prosecutor that the serial killer “the Hunter” was the one who killed Mauricio and that they can prove that Rodrigo is not the killer.
Rodrigo tells Valeria that the killer is closer to him that he could ever imagine and asks her to please stay away from the clinic.

Rodrigo once again tries to escape from the rehab center but he is apprehended by the police.
Pedro Pablo tells Valeria that Rodrigo escaped from the clinic the same day of Matilde’s accident and that if the police discover this they might use it as evidence that he is the serial killer.
Valeria makes a statement to all the media saying that the police made a mistake and that Rodrigo is innocent.

Tatiana talks to Camilla and tells her that with her betrayal she not only wronged her but that she also hurt her niece and nephew who adored her with all their hearts.
Pedro Pablo informs Valeria that Daniel Vidal is Julian’s stepfather. Tatiana cries inconsolably at Matilde’s side and asks her to please fight to recover from this ordeal, she begs her not to leave them.
Camilla runs away from the hospital where she had been committed.

A nurse comes to inform Tatiana that Camilla escaped from the hospital where she had been committed.
Detective Carvajal begins to suspect that Julian is the Hunter because she knows that psychopaths begin to commit their crimes after having lived a traumatic experience and the only one of the suspects that fits the profile is Julian.
Daniel tells Julian that he better give him his money if he does not want him telling Emilio the truth about who caused Matilde’s accident. Completely out of her mind, Lola begins to cut all of Lucia’s clothes with a pair of scissors.

Piedad confronts Valeria for having told Rodrigo that she was living in Julian’s house. Valeria replies that Rodrigo was bound to find out and besides, he had to know so that he stopped suffering for the rest of his life and dreaming of getting back with her.
The Police Prefect and detectives Sanchez and Carvajal begin to put together the pieces of the puzzle.
Lola brings Lucia’s clothes to the clinic; the clothes are in shreds all cut up and the throws them to her in front of everyone.
Valeria asks Piedad if she knows Daniel Vidal.

Julian is spying on Piedad while she is taking a bath - she sees him and covers herself. Julian tells her she should not be embarrassed because one day she will be his.
Tatiana goes to the rehab center looking for Rodrigo and confronts him for hurting Matilde but Rodrigo defends himself saying that he was not the one who hurt Matilde. He also tells Tatiana that Matilde went to see him that day just hours before the accident and showed him a photograph.
Retaliating for what Lola did to her tearing up all her clothes, Lucia tells the girls that she is going to give them a little brother.

Julian calls the police to report the human hearts and Mauricio’s head sent to his apartment. Benjamin tells Piedad about Rodrigo’s suspicions that Julian is the serial killer everyone calls the Hunter.
Balthazar tells Rodrigo that he is going to release him and that as soon as he is out he will help him look for the Hunter. Lola throws out Lucia and Pedro Pablo. Julian posing as Daniel calls Edward.
Detectives Sanchez and Carvajal question Piedad about the boxes she received and they let her know that she also is in grave danger.

Pedro Pablo speaks very clearly to Lucia and tells her that now that Lola threw them out of the house, they each have to go their separate ways - he assures her that they will not live together.
Julian goes to Edward’s office and takes his secretary hostage. Julian wounds Edward in one of his legs.
Daniel arrives at Edward’s office and finds Julian there. Julian arranges everything in such a way that now all the evidence points to Daniel as the Hunter.
Detectives Sanchez and Carvajal finally convince the Police Prefect to obtain a warrant for them to question Julian.

Camilla goes to a community soup kitchen and there a woman offers to help her after Camilla explains that she will have to spend the night out on the streets because she is a homeless person.
Detectives Sanchez and Carvajal go to Julian’s house to apprehend him and bring him in for questioning.
When they get to his house they do not find him there and they decide to go to Piedad’s house looking for him but they do not find him there either. The detectives arrive at Matilde’s parents house looking for Julian and find him there.

Piedad informs Julian that she will be returning to her own apartment and that as they had previously agreed, once the baby is born, they will get married and then and only after the marriage will she return to his apartment to live with him.
Detective Carvajal speaks with the Police Prefect and lets him know that she is not convinced that Daniel Vidal was guilty or that he was the Hunter.
The District Attorney Maldonado listens to what Detective Carvajal has to say about Daniel Vidal. He is enraged by her stubbornness.

The doctors release Matilde from the hospital and her family takes her home where her parents and Emilio are going to take care of her.
Julian is also present and in a moment they are left alone - he reminds her that he will always be near; he will never leave her alone.
Watching the news on TV, Piedad finds out that Rodrigo was declared innocent and was set free and she also sees Valeria kissing him in front of all the TV cameras and reporters.

Rodrigo asks Valeria to move in with him.
Benjamin goes to see the District Attorney in a very altered state - he asks the prosecutor to get away from Tatiana; the prosecutor decides to tell him the truth, that in spite of the fact that it is true, he has gone out with Tatiana, he is not the only one.
Piedad begins her labor and asks Julian to call Rodrigo and inform him what is going on because she promised she would let him know.
Sofia is born. Piedad is filling out the Birth Certificate form they gave her at the clinic and she places Quintana as Sofia’s last name, as the baby’s father.

Camilla opens her heart to Valeria and tells her all about her affair with Benjamin - the love she felt for him and how he has changed now that he lost Tatiana.
Piedad steps up to Rodrigo telling him that if he does control himself and calm down he is going to push Sofia away from him the same way she pushed him away.
Rodrigo goes to have a conversation with Detective Carvajal and asks her if she really believes Daniel Vidal was truly the hunter because there are many loose ends in that investigation. Once he finishes telling her all this Detective Carvajal realizes that she has serious doubts.

Piedad tells Valeria that the fact she has a relationship with Rodrigo does not mean that it includes Sofia because she does not believe they will spend much time together.
Lola and Benjamin go to pick up the kids at Pedro Pablo’s office and they discover all the children’s toys he bought for the baby. Lola gets very upset and confronts Pedro Pablo demanding that he should do the same for their daughters.
The Prefect discovers Detective Carvajal reviewing the case file of the Hunter.

Mercedes, Andres, Gibson and Rodrigo all join trying to convince Piedad to please try to convince Julian to let Matilde undergo the surgery Doctor Gibson suggested to improve her quality of life.
Rodrigo and Piedad bring Sofia to introduce her to Matilde; Rodrigo takes Matilde’s hand in his and she squeezes his hand.
Doctor Gibson examines Matilde and says that the fact that Matilde has these movements even if they are involuntary is a good sign to insist on the surgery. Piedad tells Julian that Matilde began to recover because she was able to move a finger.
