M-Net, MultiChoice celebrate SA talent with Galaxy of Stars

On Saturday night (26 July) M-Net and Multichoice are celebrating South African talent in a flashy shindig called Galaxy of Stars. It's a celebration of the contribution M-Net and MultiChoice have made to unearthing and developing South African talent and it's also a commitment that they'll be doing more of it in the future.

It's all happening at Gallagher Convention Centre in Jozi - there's a total of 400 guests apparently. Schlebs who've been involved with M-Net and Mzansi Magic will be there and the evening itself is a variety show featuring performances by South African musos.

Those in the line-up include Hugh Masekela, Johnny Clegg, Mafikizolo, Zahara, Zakes Bantwini, Khaya Mthethwa and Team Robbie's winning choir from Clash of the Choirs 2. Unathi Msengana and John Kani are hosting.

The show isn't airing live but it's being recorded and will air on both M-Net and Mzansi Magic - on Saturday 9 August. It'll be on M-Net at 14h00 in the afternoon and on Mzansi Magic at 21h30.

TVSA will be there so you'll be able to catch the Galaxy right here too. I'll be hotfooting through for us to get the gosss, take snaps, fill you in on what you won't see on TV.

Right now ... I have to dash -. to organise an outfit ... my first prize is an accessory with stars. Wish I'd had time to make one but I haven't so I'm going to pop to a crafty store nearby to see if they can assist.

Just got back from Jozi after the shindig ... with a camera crammed with snaps and news. I need to have a catch-up snooze - will spill the scuttlebutt on Monday.
