After weeks of sweat and tears and arguments, the judges finally made up their minds about who they want on the Top 9. Last week the greatest of each of the regions that the judges visited came together face to face as each one of them came to see what they were up against.

9 people from different regions seemed friendly towards each other despite the crown that is at stake. Nonetheless, that proved to be just a front as the workshops proved that some were hungrier than the others whereas some were just too nervous

Being in the industry for quite some time, Liesl Penneken from the girl group Jamali showed hopefuls how to handle press as well as other pecks that comes with being in the industry. Having gotten in the industry the same as the shine contestants, Liesl was the right person to mentor the hopefuls as she knew exactly what she was talking about as she got to share her experiences to mentor the contestants.

Having been in the industry for quite sometime during the times of Tlarantlope, Tshepo Maseko who is renowned for his role as Parsons in Isidingo also had lots to share with the hopefuls as he gave them the inside scoop on how to behave and handle media

Radio and TV presenter Xylon van eyck also made an appearance as he had few words to share with the hopefuls in dealing with the media.

Since the next Shine winner isn’t only about the voice, the contestants also had an image consultant and make- up artist, Khosie Thom from the Kay Tee Fashion Studio to come mentor them about image and how to dress and be presentable.

However, the workshop episode showed the 9 people rehearsing their favourite songs as well as the one chosen for them by the judges

THIS WEEK: THE CONTESTANT ARE SINGING THEIR FAVOURITE SONG TO TRY AND IMPRESS THE JUDGES. FROM THERE ON, THEY SING A SONG CHOSEN FOR THEM BY THE JUDGES FOR WHICH THE END RESULTS WILL RESULT IN THE TOP 6 AS THREE PEOPLE WILL BE SENT HOME.
