A brand new series starts tomorrow night on MNET and I am SO VERY EXCITED!
There has been a lot of hype surrounding PRISON BREAK and I am sure that it is going to live up to our very high expectations.
PRISON BREAK is about an Engineer, Michael Scofield ( Wentoworth Miller) who gets himself arrested so that he can help his brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) escape from prison.
Lincoln Burrows has been convicted of killing the Vice-President’s brother and has been sentenced to death.
Michael is convinced he is innocent and so he devises a plan to get his brother out of prison, but in order to do that, he has to get himself arrested first.
The tagline of PB is Escape is Just the Beginning –so the series promises to be more than just your average escape from Alcatraz.
Form Wednesday you can expect weekly episode updates as well as juicy goss about the actors.To whet your appetite, I am starting off with the 2 main characters: Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows
Michael Scofield – Wentworth Miller
To be honest, before PB I had never heard of Wentworth so I had some serious Googling to do.
Born WENTWORTH MILLER 2 June 1972 in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, England, UK but raised in Brooklyn., New York
He is African-American, Jamaican, English, German, French, Dutch, Syrian and Lebanese descents… hmmmmmmmm what does this mean???? Well, Apparently his father is half African American, one quarter English and one quarter Jewish, while his mother is of French, Dutch, Syrian and Lebanese descent – yeah, whatever.
Graduated from Princeton
Guest appearance in Buffy the vampire Slayer (although I wouldn’t brag about that if I were him) Also did some ER and some Joan of Arcadia.
He starred in Dinotopia, the epic story of a lost continent where dinosaurs and humans live together in an almost-utopian world – which I haven’t seen.
He also starred in The Human Stain as a young Coleman Silk – a movie I have also not seen but looking at the cast and credits I am making a mental note to hire it as soon as I can.
AND he is that yummy guy in Maria Carey’s video, We Belong Together. SO I DO KNOW HIM!!
In PRISON BREAK he is Michael Scofield, structural engineer and brother of the convicted Lincoln Burrows.
Why they have different surnames, I don’t know, maybe they have different fathers, maybe it’s because he doesn’t want the Powers That Be to know that he is Lincoln’s brother. I’m sure we’ll find out sooner or later.
I don’t know whether his trying to bust his brother out is admiral or just plain stupid but seeing that his brother is on death row, what choice does he have? I know I’m keeping a keen eye on him!!
Lincoln Burrows – Dominic Purcell
Born England on 2/17/1970 raised in Australia.
Which makes him only 2 years older than Wentworth, although I must say that Wentworth looks WAY younger than his 33 years and Dominic somewhat older than his 35 years.
He is married :
Wife: Rebecca
Children: Joe, Audrey, and twins Lily and Gus
And I actually know him from a previous series that I half watched – JOHN DOE
He starred in Mission Impossible 3, Equilibrium and The Visitors and a number of other movies which I have not seen.
In PB he is Lincoln Burrows, a man wrongly accused of murder and awaiting the death sentence.
I look forward to watch his character unfold as well, because even though he claims to be innocent, why would thy want to frame HIM. He must have some element of BAD BOY in him and you all know how I’m a sucker for them.
