Movie: Cabin Fever - MNET 21:30

As a last hurrah after college, friends Jeff, Karen, Paul, Marcy and Bert embark on a vacation deep into the mountains. With the top down and the music up, they drive to a remote cabin to enjoy their last days of decadence before entering the working world. Then somebody gets sick. Karen's skin starts to bubble and burn as something grows inside her, tunnelling beneath her flesh. The group is so repulsed, shocked and sickened watching their friend deteriorate before their eyes they lock her in a shed to avoid infection. As they debate how to save her, they look at one another and realize that any one of them could also have it. What soon begins as a struggle against the disease turns into a battle against friends, as the fear of contagion drives them to turn on each other. The kids confront the terror of having to kill anyone who comes near them, even if it's their closest friend. The survivors have to find help before they're all killed by the virus or by the local lynch mob out to destroy anyone who may have come in contact with it.

He's Blankman, a self-appointed neighbourhood crime stopper who's so broke he fights crime in his underwear. Eccentric inventor Darryl Walker can turn an orthopaedic shoe into a lethal boomerang and his grandmother's housecoat into a cape. Armed with an arsenal of homemade crime-fighting gizmos, the mild-mannered Darryl transforms himself into ever-vigilant Blankman. Joining him in his war on crime is his older brother and reluctant sidekick, Kevin; Kimberly Jonz is the ace reporter whose story catapults Blankman to fame, and sleazy newsman Mr. Stone. Starring Damon Wayans and Robin Givens.

Movie: My Big Fat Greek Wedding - MNET 21:30
''Nice Greek girls are expected to do three things: Marry Greek boys, make Greek babies and feed everyone until the day we die'' - Toula Portokalos.
Everyone in the Portokalos family worries about Toula (Nia Vardalos). Still unmarried at 30-years-old, she works at Dancing Zorba’s, the Greek restaurant owned by her parents, Gus (Michael Constantine) and Maria (Lainie Kazan)… and she smells like garlic bread. Vowing that she’d rather stab herself in the eye with a red-hot poker than work in the restaurant for the rest of her life, Toula is ready for a change. Unfortunately, the rest of her family are not. After taking a job at her aunt’s travel agency, she falls in love with Ian Miller (John Corbett), a high school teacher who is tall, handsome and definitely not Greek. Toula isn’t sure which will be more upsetting to her old-fashioned father: that Ian is a Xeno (foreigner) or that he’s a vegetarian. But none of it matters once he asks her to marry him. Toula knows that if he can pass with her crazy relatives and get baptized in the Greek Orthodox Church... their big fat Greek wedding, including one powder blue limousine, two ice sculptures and ten bridesmaids in turquoise dresses, will be a piece of cake – albeit five layers high with a plastic staircase and a fountain of champagne.

Movie: Boogie Nights - ETV 21:55
Eddie is a 17 year-old busboy looking for a break when he is spotted in a Valley Disco by veteran porn director, Jack Horner. Jack immediately senses that this virile and well-endowed young man can make him very, very wealthy. Starring Mark Wahlberg and Julianne Moore.

Movie: The River Wild - SABC3 22:00
In THE RIVER WILD, Gail (Meryl Streep), a former river guide, plans a white-water rafting trip to celebrate her son Roarke’s (Joseph Mazzello) birthday and patch up her troubled marriage to her workaholic husband, Tom (David Strathairn). As the family begins their river adventure, they meet Wade (Kevin Bacon), a novice rafter with a magnetic personality. When the family finds Wade and his friend, Terry (John C. Reilly), stranded and abandoned by their guide, Gail and Tom decide to help them navigate the rapids. However, family fun turns to terror when Wade and Terry show their true colors--they’re really criminals trying to evade the police following a major heist. To make matters worse, their escape route requires that they run the Gauntlet, deadly rapids where three rivers converge in violently tumultuous waters. This taut thriller from director Curtis Hanson (BAD INFLUENCE, L.A. CONFIDENTIAL) features Streep in her first role as an action-adventure heroine, while Bacon is truly menacing as the psychotic Wade, a desperate criminal in over his head.

High-powered divorce attorneys, Audrey Woods and Daniel Rafferty, have seen love gone wrong in all its worst case scenarios - so, how bad could their chances be? At the top of their respective games, Audrey and Daniel are a classic study in opposites. She practices law strictly by the book; he always manages to win by the seat of his pants. But soon they are pitted against each other on opposite sides of a nasty public divorce between famous clients, with the case centring upon an Irish castle that each future divorcee has their sites set on. Audrey and Daniel travel to Ireland to chase down depositions, yet the two lawyers, who have been slowly developing a mutual attraction that neither wants to acknowledge, find themselves thrown together at a romantic Irish festival. After a night of wild celebration, they wake up the next morning as husband and wife. Maybe getting married first is the best way to fall in love. Starring Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore

Movie: Crossraods - SABC3 23:00

Although it seems that they are all headed in separate directions, Mimi's planned cross-country trip to Los Angeles in hopes of securing a recording contract brings the old friends together for a life-altering adventure. Lucy's own dream of reuniting with her estranged mother (Kim Cattrall), who abandoned her and her auto mechanic father (Dan Aykroyd) when Lucy was only three, propels the normally cautious Lucy to take part and together they hit the road, chauffeured by Mimi's handsome loner friend Ben (Anson Mount). Their journey is plagued with many seemingly insurmountable difficulties, beginning with major car troubles that cost the girls all of their money to fix.
