A whole lot happened this episode and all the characters seemed to have their own sub-plots going without too many links to each other. Exciting nonetheless.

Christian and Quentin met with a potential patient, Mr White, who had a body integrity disorder. The patient wanted his normal working leg removed because he felt he needed that to feel whole. He wanted to be crippled. The doctors can't seem to make up their minds about whether to do this surgery. The guy is offering them $100 000, $70 000 more than the asking price. And they are in a dire financial situation.

NT Christian and Quentin

Sean meets with the FBI where he has agreed to do some less lucrative work, performing surgery on people in the witness protection programme. He meets with Nichole Moretti and her son who are in the programme. Nichole has lready lost a husband because he was going to testify. She and her son are going to have their faces reconstructed to hide their identity.

Julia's recuperation facility is ready but customers are few and far between and they're worried.

Julia, Liz and Gina

Julia, Gina and Liz have one patient, who tells them that she's been using semen on her face for years and she swears that it's kept her face perfect. The freaky thing was that after she divorced her husband, she started using her two sons' semen. She would give them the plastic jars and they would fill it and leave it on her bedside.

Julia realises that the woman might be on to something with the rejuvenating ingredients in semen and decides to market it as the facility's signature product. After all, the sperm banks throw away tons of the stuff everyday!

Christian decides to not perform the amputation surgery and goes to Mr White's home to let him know. White shows him his home-made device to freeze his leg off if he was refused again.

Julia bottles the semen and is ready to sell when uber-plastic-surgery-queen, Joan Rivers walks in to the recovery clinic.

Joan wants to book herself in after some surgery. She spots the "cream" on the table and tries some. She has no clue about what it is but comments on the smell. Julia and co. are worried when Joan walks in the next day. They're ready to apologise but Joan is amazed with the product and offers them a marketing deal. She will plug the product in return for 50% of the profits. Julia, Gina and Liz agree but Julia shrewdly manages to avoid letting out the secret of the ingredients.

With Joan River's endorsement, the clinic is busy and doing well.

Sean runs into difficulty when he discovers that Nichole's son is not aware of the surgery that he's going to have. When he breaks the news, the son is devestated but comes around after some talking to Sean.
NT Nichole son

Sean performs the surgery successfully.

Christian is more conflicted about the surgery and calls Sean for some advice. Sean is preoccupied with his witness protection work and can't really speak to Christian. Christian is disappointed and expresses doubts about their relationship.  Kimber tells him to get rid of Sean and that he doesn't need Sean anymore.

Christian goes to visit Mr White once more. He refuses the surgery and White pulls a gun and shoots himself in  the leg. In the emergency room the leg is repaired but Christian goes back in to the operating theatre and does the amputation. Well it seemed that he did the surgery though it was hard to tell.

Christian goes home and proposes to Kimber who agrees to marry him.

Disappointingly once again, we heard nothing about the carver. But he has to rear his/ her head sometime soon!
