SABC1 is on a search for DJ's and producers for the channel's new reality property Masters of Spin.
The series debuts on 17 July at 19h30 and will pit the best contenders against each other in a reality show, judged by Metro FM hottshots DJ Sphectacula and DJ Naves.
The first round of auditions are happening online and in real life.
Who can enter?
These are the minimum requirements for entry:
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Must be able to play on CDjays
- Must be available for the duration of the (series) shoot
- Must have a valid South African ID
- Must not have any existing management contracts
- Must have produced an original piece of music
- Entries are open to all parties who fulfill the minimum requirements, but are limited to the first 100 people / entries per day at the stated audition venues.
- Potential contestants must take an original piece of music to the audition - music that you've produced. This needs to be on a USB Flash stick or CD.

Online entries open on 1 April and close on 4 April so keep a lookout on the site for when the entry forms go live.
You need to fill in an application form, upload your picture and music and submit.
Entries are limited to one entry per person.

36 semi-finalists will be chosen from the first round of auditions and will be called back to a second round of auditions at the SABC.

The judges will assess the final candidates and 12 finalists will be chosen from this second round of auditions.
These 12 finalists will be posted to the Masters of Spin Facebook page and the nine contestants who get the most "likes" will be televised from Episode 3 of the series. These nine will go into a battle to win the series and the prize.
What's up for grabs?
The winner will win their own album released through Soul Candi as well as a new VW Polo Vivo courtesy of Unite Against Rhino Poaching.
