The results: A gangster reality movie. A house divided into 4 reality sub-movies; couple's retreat, gossip girls, mean girls and the outcasts/realists.
The Gangster Reality movie (Lex-Iris)
Chambers were closed after 2 weeks, with Kgosi being voted by the idiots (housemates) as an interesting and intriguing weakling to add to their space. He surprised them by being so inquisitive the idiotz decided that he was a "plantation" planted by biggie to spy and get them to reveal a lot about themselves so they can hang themselves.
KgosiIt was fun to watch until Iris was moved into the house after coming second on the public voting when Mbali was disqualified for "violent actions" which is against the biggie rules.
Iris and ParisMbali slapped Iris after the Valentine's dinner he presented with Perris (Paris according to the sms strap) to the girls in the chamber. Valentine is a dangerous day for South African woman.... Haai!
He was disqualified and the man disappeared from our screens only to learn on Sunday that he had won the public vote to move to the house.
Iris walked into the house to find Kat waiting for her; she slithered to the newcomer and dished her view about the rest of the idziots. I was laughing so hard at Iris' "yoh" reactions. As Iris walked out and started her integration in the house, Lexi who already seemed to be having beef against Vanessa moved her target to her.
Having a conversation with anyone became as difficult as making a phone call inside the Big Brother house for Iris. Lexi would ensure that any conversation Iris had, she would come and disrupt, pull the person away and leave Iris wondering what she had done to be treated like this. The fireworks moment between these two was a sad meltdown.
Big Brother intervened in the Lex-Iris tension last night by making a suggestion that the idiotz have an adult conversation and resolve the issue. This was after Iris had tearfully voiced her isolation and feelings in her diary session. Lexi, on the other hand, had icily stated that
she doesn't even acknowledge Iris as she doesn't exist in her world, even if they leave the house
she would not want anything to do with Iris. This is when Iris has only been in the house 2 nights... Haaai!
When the meeting started Lexi was given a chance to voice her issues, she crucified Iris using examples of some interactions with the other idiotz. Methinks, she thought she was garnering support from the other idiotz but as I was watching i felt she was brutal, disrespectful, delusional, abusive and totally irrational. Iris and the rest of the idiotz silently listened to her.
Mzamo decided to cut in and tell Lexi that shim is not an extra on the Lexi-Mandla show. Shim felt the whole beef from Lexi's side is because Mandla is sweet to Iris and the idiotz are being pulled into a bruised ego fight.
When
Iris responded and she repeated parts of what Lexi had said "you did not like me before I even came into this house, when I was in the chambers" and " I hate you"' I got worried that there would be a fight including knives in the next couple of minutes. Biggie then called Iris into the diary room. I sighed with relief.
MK took over the meeting and maturely told the idiotz that they need to be respectful of each other. He advised them that they need to be aware that they are not obliged to make friends in the house and if they don't like each other they must avoid being in each others space.
Mzamo and MKBoth girls want to roll the victim carpet out, they feel that the other provoked the other
. Iris tearfully addressed us in the diary room and explained her hurt.
Lexi also got her chance and she also expressed hurt and being bullied to accept Iris which she won't do.
In the end, we were deprived of seeing the two feuding girls for the most part of the night. We were subjected to watching all angles of Sol, Vanessa and Lola painting for the task or the empty bath.
Up until this mess, I was saving Lexi. I was entertained by her need to be the queen bee who is revered and the other girls can't put her in her place. I want to recall my votes and save MK instead. Both girls can go, I can be entertained by other things and not this nonsensical hatred. I feel that if they had gone into the house at the same time, they would have liked each other.
MandlaThere may also be some truth in what Shim (Mzamo) observed; this may all be because of Lexi's insecurity with Mandla around Iris.
The Outcasts This group of men are not in any alliance and just float between the other groups. MK, Sol and Kgosi are slightly weird in their own way and stay out of drama unless pulled into it.
Couple's retreat Poolie and Loko, Jase and Kat are two pretty "couples" in the house. They enjoy sharing laughs, jaccuzzi moments with
lots of tongue wrestling and
endless back massages. I would be a little intrigued if the girls did not carry on in their diary session about how they have friendzoned these boys on spring break.
Poolie's insistence on being another Wendell bores me to death. The man says absolutely nothing most times. His soft wrist aka "kiss my hand, darling" also kinda makes me wonder if he is not garnering votes with some "relationship might spark" watchers by using the hotttttttt Loko.
Poolie's secret made me aware that the man is troubled... His secret is a fetish for Chinese dwarves and he watches the dwarf olympics. Shuuuuu! I was not even aware there is such a sporting event.
Gossip Girls
Lola and Thando need to move out of high school. They make me so upset. They consider themselves "nice girls" but keep scheming to get people to fight.
They want to divide and conquer... boring and childish!
On Tuesday night, Lexi and Thando had a skinner session in the toilet as Lexi crucified Iris, Kat and Loko. Vanessa went to the bedroom, got under her covers and cried around 11:00pm. No-one seemed to care or notice. On the early hours of Wednesday, between midnight and 2am, there was a wine and deodorant situation in the house.
Lexi, Mzamo, Thando and Vanessa discussed the couple's retreat and dissected Iris' infiltration into the house. Iris was snooping by the door and all of a sudden Loko shows up to tell the chatters that she is bored by the non-khumbayah session in the house.
Thando quickly left the room and joined Lola for their gossip girls session in the garden which resulted in Thando spraying herself with deoderant at 3 am and waking up Sol to discuss what she had heard in the house. I switched off my tele!
