The voters have spoken in the most hotly contested season of Idols SA ever and 26-year-old Musa Sukwene and 19-year-old Brenden Ledwaba are going to be battling it out in the nailbiting finalé of Idols Season 9.

Sonke Mazibuko fell at the final hurdle in last night's (Tuesday, 19 November) Top 3 Results Show, live from the Moreleta Park Church Auditorium in Pretoria, losing his chance to sing in the all-important final showdown.

This competition was so close that after their three rounds of performances in the Top 3 Spectacular on Sunday, Brenden and Musa were both at the bottom of the polls in one round and at the top of the polls in another, with Sonke, who has never been in the bottom three throughout the season, consistently stuck in the middle for all three rounds.

“It is always sad to have to say goodbye to a contestant this close to the final,” M-Net’s Head of M-Net Publicity and Special Projects Lani Lombard said tonight. “But that is the nature of Idols and Sonke can take comfort in the fact that we have never seen voting results as close as we did this season. It's been a neck-and-neck race and in this final week of voting the pressure really is on like never before. It's going to be an exhilarating Idols Finale."

This week every single vote will make the difference as the country decides if the 19-year-old charmer from Graskop or eMalahleni’s smooth gentle giant will become South Africa’s next Idol.

The voting lines for the Top 2 have already opened, and will stay open until next week Monday at 22:00, a day before the winner will be announced in the exciting live finalé, which will boast performances by the likes of AKA, The Parlotones, ChianoSky, MiCasa, Khuli Chana, and of course the Top 2 finalists. Tickets for that show are on sale at Computicket now.

Apart from this week's last Sunday night Spectacular, fans can also see their Top 2 Idols sing live and get their autographs when they perform at the new Cradlestone Mall at Mogale City at noon on Saturday and at Cresta Mall in Randburg at 2.30 Saturday afternoon.

And on Sunday Idols fans in Cape Town can cheer Brenden and Musa on at Canal Walk at 11 o’clock in the morning.

Shame the eliminated top ten contestants were not as happy for Brenden as they were for Musa, I wonder what's that all about. Anyway voting lines r already open, I might as well throw in some votes for Brenden online every hour everyday till monday!

@ Tazteep hai wethu they must leave him everyone is arrogant in their own right

True that Ms O! And I am unable to detect the so-called arrogance in one so young. Go right back to his audition and see how he was utterly lost for words when he got the thumbs-up. If anything, maybe it's me but I see a well brought up young man, just like the other two for that matter, a bit on the shy side, describing himself as coming from "a little small town called Graskop". We easily attach labels to peeps and if not checked they stick without basis at all. Maybe the top ten call him arrogant because of......what? his God given talent, musical ability and fortune of getting the genes from his parents.? When you are good, YOU ARE GOOD, ditto Sonke and Musa. We the viewers/listeners HAVE SPOKEN. Good luck boys, do yourselves proud, leave nothing in the dressing rooms and may the BEST win!!

That first sentence should read like this: Randall has spoken as he sabotaged Sonke in the most possible manner. Now you will see how they are gonna sabotage Musa.....its obvious they want Brenden to be the winner. I am so proud of SONKE though, goodluck to both finalists

Ms Opinionated
20 Nov 2013 11:04

@ Sobza i do agree with you on Randall but not about the other judges, i just believe that they were judging based on the perfromances of the night and Sonke has been slowly sinking with the ship due to his own  bad song choices. With Musa and Brenden yi draw vele anyone can win at this point

Brendan is nothing but arrogant. Kanti what is wrong with people. If u r not much of a talker and are a bit on the shy side, they label u as arrogant. On the other hand, if u are a talker and are not shy, they label u as big headed and a know it all. People will always be judgemental hey. I was so surprised to c Sonke not making it to the finals. I thought that he will be in the final with ben10. I didnt expect to see Musa in the final. Anyway i am glad that both my homeboys are in the final. They are really flying the flag high for MP. U guys should see the ppl cars here. They are pasted with posters of Brendan and Musa. Anyways, my votes still go to Brendan. Go team Brendan!!!!!!

Amy M
20 Nov 2013 11:24

Error, i meant to type that Brendan is not arrogant at all. My bad Ben10. (My first sentence).

Nunumsi
20 Nov 2013 11:38

Brendan arrogant????? I'll vote more for him now that he's been labelled. TEAM BRENDAN.

20 Nov 2013 11:40

Understood Amy babe, no worries:-) well done Mpumalanga!!!

20 Nov 2013 11:40

The Randall and Rj Benjamin sabotaged Makhosonke with those bad songs they chose for him. I really wish Musa can win this. But if Brenden wins his album  wil sell like hot cakes because of his looks.

Goldi
20 Nov 2013 11:50

My Money is on Brenden i also love Musa but i dont see him taking this *Team Brenden*

Teeza
20 Nov 2013 12:13

So then Brenden was sabotaged with Le Ngoma because that did not suit him. For the two weeks he was off it must have been sabotage!! BRENDEN Is the total pack. He's a great singer, interpreter of music material, even at this tender age. He plays music instruments. Let's not go to the other superficial Stuff ie LOOKS:-)

sanell
20 Nov 2013 12:19

Is it Tazteeq!? Surely we could have seen hints of arrogance in Brenden if it really existed in him! Usually shy ppl r misunderstood as being arrogant. Lemme go vote for him online!

i think no one was sabotaged if you are a singer you can sing any song thrown @ you my thoughts?

cleve
20 Nov 2013 16:36

#Musa we not saying much. We got where we wanted the finals. The end will be determined by Gid but we will do what we can. As long as our MPumalanga boys take it. Rise Graskop and Emalahleni and Brendan went to school at Emalahleni Witbank so we not losing. :D both boys deserve it. Goodluck Musa and Brendan. #Musanation cos u r truly talented booi. I'm never scared or cringe when u sing cos u do it so effortlessly. Well done!!!

Amy M

@Cleve, Brendan is from Graskop and went to the same high school, which i attented school at, Sybrand Van Niekerk Hoerskool, its in Sabie, a small town next to Graskop.

Results where fair Brenden and Musa had an edge over Sonke. I'm voting for arrogant Ben 10.

Ms Opinionated
21 Nov 2013 08:42

Shame guys mna all im saying is that we dont know these people and how they really are, Musa as humble as he seems may also be "arrogant" as far as i have seen Brenden has never shown us his voters arrogance. In fact the opposite, he was the shiest of them all and has slowly tried to come out of his hell through performances. and that why im #TeamBrenden the growth and transormation during these past few weeks has been phenomenal. The boy has shown how much he appreciates our votes, he did bad will "Lengoma" and was in the bottom 3 but after that he rose higher and higher.

I love Musa he can really sing but the growth ive seen in Brenden tells me that he has a better chance of carrying through the Idols title even lobger than most winners who have just vanished.

sorry for the essay!

cleve
21 Nov 2013 09:19

Amy he also went to school in Emalahleni so chill!
