e.tv's news division eNCA is looking to hire a writer/producer for eNCA Africa news in Johannesburg.
Reporting to the Africa Editor, your key duties and resposibilities will include:
- Monitoring the wire services and news feeds for the latest news on Africa.
- Work on the news desk, write scripts for news inserts and illustrate the story visually in video editing.
- Setting up guests to be interviewed during the various bulletins.
- Assisting in crafting intros and cues for anchors in studio.
Requirements:
- Should have at least 3 years broadcasting experience.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Good editorial judgement and interpretational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure making deadlines.
- Willingness to work irregular and long hours.
Note: the successful candidate will be required to work irregular and long hours, including weekends, public holidays and standby shifts.
