Couple of weeks back, I made a statement here that there's no difference between Oneal and most of us. This did not go well with some who criticized what I said. Well, if you're still in doubt, please go and read yesterday's page and already this morning and see what I meant. It was SADC this, WA that. Then it's EAC against Ethiopia and blah blah blah. Add these to all the pundits laying out how countries will vote.

That's Big Brother Africa for you in summary. It's not about who entertained. It's not about why a particular housemate deserves our votes. It's not about why Dellish should get more votes over Bimp and Angelo, it's simply because she's from Namibia and WA has been voting for her. It's not whether Angelo deserves to be in the finals rather it's because he's from South Africa. It has nothing to do with Cleo as a housemate but whether Zimbabwe will listen to Pokello or Hakeem.

Why all that rantings about Oneal for weeks then? Your guess is as good as mine. I believe most here saw in Oneal what we really are. We don't like it, we cannot face our prejudice and it's so much easier to take it out on someone else rather than look inward.

It's not let the best housemate win kweli, it's let the best region and close countries win. One would think this is the African Cup of Nations. Well, just my 1 KSH.

@jemedari like it or not, regions have been voting together this year, take out the odd pairings like nam and nig or zim and gh. you cant compare us to oneal because the owl simply didnt like anything WA, whether it be their hm, music or even products he assumed were made from there. we dont have problems with any regions but we where simply predicting votes based on what happened in the past and based on that, we assume that regional voting will continue and EA may be the deciding factor
on that note, we really cannot talk about people who deserve to win at this point because everyone deserves it as much as the next person. the most entertaining hms are all gone imo so we cant base our votes on that either. at this point personally im voting for angelo for no other reason other than the fact that ALL my faves are out and hes my countrymate
i hope the lobola talks are going well just btw

I think if they continue to do this BBA ish in the future, they should scrap the "How Africa Voted" bit or modify it. Either just eliminate people without showing how Africa voted OR (a much better option) Show how Africa voted without the country's name attached to it. For example: If four people are up, then the results can read something like

Bimp: 6 country votes
Huddah: 4 country
Bolt: 3 country
Cleo: 2 country votes

Obviously the two with the lowest (Bolt & Cleo) will be evicted. No need mentioning which country voted for who.

I feel like the country thing just makes it more about region and indirectly divides people by causing tension outside the house. Then undeserving people are being saved while the good ones are going.

Just my two cents sha.

(this might work but it still wont stop some of us from guessing which country voted for who. plus biggie might rig at free will without us noticing. what do uhdikts think)

@Jemme...I remember that comment because I agreed And I agree with your comment today. I'm still waiting for @Redani to STEAL a comment about why Bev and Melvin have evaded nominations to date. Even when Bev was HM she wasn't nominated as is the norm to nominate HOHs "coz they'll save themselves". Why? Fact is, the HMs are scared of the WA HMs especialy Nigerian HMs and blablablabla blablabla bla....that's why some HMs' game plan coming into the house was to align themself with WA HMs so they'll get the WA vote and that's what Pokello and Oneal were trying to go against....(i never thought a day will come where ill write WA or EA more than 3 times in my comment..as much as this regional voting thingamagic is real..its quite annoying and my mind refuses to grasp it, I always skip through elimination prediction comments that have a lot of WA and EA in the :D)

STOLEN...............Elikem shared his views on some of the relationships formed in the house and he specifically advised Cleo to think about her future minus Hakeem because the Zim lad couldn’t be trusted. The twosome had a chit-chat in the wee hours of the morning and the Ghanaian told the Zambian singer that Hakeem has been out of the show for over a month now and this is a very long time to still have hopes in the relationship.

Elikem also reasoned that Hakeem had failed to form a good relationship with fellow Zimbabwean Pokello something that meant that he couldn’t be relied on or trusted for that matter. He continued that Hakeem had a soft spot for Kenyan housemate Huddah who got the boot in the first week of the show and actually kissed her before she exited.

Hmmm… Is Elikem serious or he’s just pulling Cleo’s legs? Cleo seems to still hold hopes of a reunion with Hakeem but could Elikem’s sentiments damage these hopes?

Elikem talks too much indeed. her wife advised him not to talk too much but did not listen. there are a lot of HaCleo fans out there who won't take this lightly

@G.A, not dis season. Ghana choose Poke ova Bassey cuz she's his woman n we support love(lol), Naija chose Dillish ova Elikem da 1st time he was up n Ghana voted Mel cuz he's good friends wit Eli. I'm Ghanaian n yet i voted n campaigned 4 Poke when she was up against Selly in case of tie-breaker. Ethiopia n Nam have made me proud dis season cuz they got da vote 4 ur fav no matter da country thing hands down............. I miss seasons where votin was based on da hsmates in question n not their countries or regions. In Uti vrs Munya season, countries even abandoned their reps who were also in da finals to support those two. Now dat was da game!!! I can't help it n i refuse to support regional votin so i'll silently withdraw so i don't care if Angelo wins cuz based on regional trends dis season, dats a huge possibility.

Way to go Abby, all this regional voting and the divide. Maybe instead of regional votes, people can just vote for their favorite HM, and no country vote will be recorded. And I am confused if I would want Angelo to win or the younger ones like Dillish. At his age, Angelo should of worked harder to achieve more in life and people like Dillish, still have their lives ahead of them, so they will have other chances in life. I don't know who deserves the money more. With people like Melvin, he it too good to be true, something is up.

Mmmm @nada...the regional analysis goes over my head my friend, but thanx for trying to help. I just know its real, its frastrating the Oneals and Pokellos of the BB world, its making HMs want to align themselves to WA HMs, its the reason why Bev and Melvin are still in...but I don't know how it translates to numbers, my head just refuses to give the logic about it time. I think Melvin is taking the money, because of WA (I'm not sure how) and because he is a nice guy, nicer than Angelo.

Regional voting has always been and will always be a part of BBA, whether we like it or not. It's not about entertaiment, but about who's from where. A lot of countries will for the longest time not get a winner, simply because of voting patterns. The sooner we make peace with this fact, the better.

stolen :Botswana’s Big Brother Africa housemate who recently got evicted from the game O’neal Madumo has expressed that the Big Brother house has scarred him for life.

Speaking at a press conference held last week Thursday at President Hotel, O’neal said that if given the chance to do it again he would turn down the opportunity to go back to Biggie’s house. O’Neal said, “I would never enter Big Brother again. It scarred me for life”. The former housemate also went into detail and told the press that three weeks into the game he was diagnosed with high blood pressure and given medication that he had to take for about four days. He added that prior to entering the house he never imagined that he would be associated with high blood pressure.

O’neal further said that being in the house wasn’t psychologically easy for him. He said that “A part of me selfishly wanted to leave the house that I even considered to voluntarily leave the house, but I didn’t do it”. He went on to say that other housemates would do things in a disorganised manner and it was confusing for him. He added that at first he gave it some effort to try and be at par with the other housemates but it was hard for him because it was not who he is. He went on to say that this season’s game titled The Chase was open to interpretation to an individual hence why he just
have to have been inside to understand what the housemates go through. In addition to that he said that Big Brother is a 24 hour job because beyond the cameras there are always people who are on call such as doctors and psychologists who are placed to offer housemates support should the need arise.

Re the housemates being afraid to nominate West Africans, I think that's a faulty assumption Melvin typically isn't nominated (except by Bimp) by his housemates because he is a nice guy and interacts with the other housemates, he respects everyone's individuality. Elikem and Bolt were nominated consistently. Bassey wasn't nominated also for the same reasons as Melvin he only came up for eviction because Bimp put him up. I cant speak for Bev - I think the Diamonds house suits her personality though, if Selly hadn't swapped her from the Ruby house, she would have been nominated a long time ago.

First of all, I agree with @jemme's post! There is a bit of o'neal in some of us; we all want our country mates to win against the best housemate. I think that's kinda wrong, but that's patroitism, I guess, people want their countries to come out tops in everything, just for 'bragging rights'. I'm nigerian, and I liked nando frm d beginning of d show(at least, till he went mad); wanted him to win, but then there are my country mates bev and melvin. There's no way I would support him over mel and bev(no! I'm not xenophobic, I'm just patroitic...looking out for my own). But beside the fact that melvin is from nigeria, I think he deserves to win(angelo too). Seeing as both f them have played the cleanest game so far...this show for me, isn't about just entertainment! Its about having a positive attitude, values, and being a good enough role model for Africa. Yes, this is Africa, we have high moral standards and values that we live by; being entertaining with all d wrong attitudes isn't enough to earn you the prize on this show!

I think that's kinda wrong, but that's patroitism, I guess, people want their countries to come out tops in everything, just for 'bragging rights'. I'm nigerian, and I liked nando frm d beginning of d show(at least, till he went mad); wanted him to win, but then there are my country mates bev and melvin. There's no way I would support him over mel and bev(no! I'm not xenophobic, I'm just patroitic...looking out for my own). But beside the fact that melvin is from nigeria, I think he deserves to win(angelo too). Seeing as both f them have played the cleanest game so far...this show for me, isn't about just entertainment! Its about having a positive attitude, values, and being a good enough role model for Africa. Yes, this is Africa, we have high moral standards and values that we live by; being entertaining with all d wrong attitudes isn't enough to earn you the prize on this show!

Why housemates decided to slow down in wagering 100% like they have been: Housemates decided to go down to 75% coz they felt like they need to as their level of confidence has slightly gone down
How the song is coming along: They are done, they are now putting in the drum which has just come and are now left with the dance
About the ideas the housemates have in terms of keeping the conversation going: He says dat Airtel is one of the biggest telecom providers in Africa and their concept is not necessarily abt the calls, but some other things like football
How he found his decision he made in the DR last night: He nominated Angelo as his big competition despite the fact dat he wud like to see him in the finals with him. But as he, Bimp and Dillish were up on the block already, it was kinda hard for him dats why he first mentioned Cleo's name before he came up with Angelo's. He adds dat it affected him but he had to do wat he had to do
How he'll feel if Angelo gets evicted on Sunday: He says dat he wont put his thouts dat Angelo is a strong player dat he wont leave coz he has seen many of them leaving but if it happens dat he leaves on Sunday with just a week to the final, he hopes dat Angelo will understand dat something had to happened so he has to deal with it.

My gaydar can ping-PONG as much as it like to, and @boogy's can PONG loudly but I am going to vote only one person to take this ish: Melvin. I love that boy. Never thought that I would end up rooting for a good nice person to win BBA since I used to support the crazy, sometimes even evil, entertainers, like Mwisho, Zee and Prezzo.

Lol...the reason we criticize beverly a lot is because she's not played as clean a game as melvin has. Trust me, if she were the only one left, we'd still support her to win! I don't know about other countries, but when I said 'we all support our countries to win, as against the best', I said it in relation to where I come from...Nigerians are very patriotic people(not to brag, but we always consider ourselves the best); so are most ghanians.
