Brennie I'm not understanding. I'm very interested in what Oneal is saying. Seriously, when people are drunk..they speak a lot, inhibitions are lost, they speak incoherent gibberish yes, but half of the things they say are the thoughts they'd usualy like to express but cannot for whatever restriction when sober...sort of like dreams. Even if I was not a fan of Oneal, I would not trivialise his experiences, I'd not trivialise him speaking about where he comes from, how he hustled to get here, and his aspirations. @boogy, for someone who hasn't been given hugs, props and love, he has done good for himself. Beat many odds. Even if his rough childhood left him with some vulnarabilities, above and beyond those weak points, he did well for himself, hustled, kudos. @ GA, I managed to get da gist of his entire convo. It was based on how people didn't think dat he wud make it in da entertainment industry. He didn't ve da backing from a rich family en friends of da family,

Whatever he has attained, he has strived for. He worked on his material which was different from what others were presenting en pipo loved his work. Da ratings were high en da producer couldn't understand why coz his English was bad.

He gt cold feet interviewing big guns, but he later threw caution to da wind. He read en researched on a lot of topics en improved his spoken English along da way.

He acquired knowledge made him forge ahead in his career making him one of da best in da industry. It is a rags to riches kind of story.

He's never say die attitude has made a lot of pipo respect his work. He still feels dat he hasn't reached his peak. He is yet to advance further in his career.

Hm..@mkhadjos...I hear you. Except I'm able to connect his story perhaps because I'm adding to waht he has been saying previous. In a nutshell thou...I heard his story how @Brennie is saying it. One could expantiate on it further even. Its a ruthless world out there and frankly I like his approach on the hustle. When you are poor you have to work 3 times harder than the haves, and when you are there, don't expect people to like you, your confidence in what you have to offer is your bargaining chip, whether they like you or not. And I don't want to hear a Polikem fan saying Oneal is arrogant because Pokello is just as arrogant...and they probably see it as confidence, as they grow and get wiser, they'll decern the difference.
