So apparently this is how the sudden vanishing of Maria's boyfriend went down: Melvin first asked Dilish if Maria has a boyfriend, Dilish said she doesn't know. Then Melvin asked Maria directly and she totally denied having a boyfriend. This while only a few days before, she was using the alleged boyfriend to keep Angelo at bay. Poor Rapunzel is in for a world of hurt.

Melvin is not gay! And he isn't scared of women either...he's very loved by women back here in nigeria. Its all strategy...I think he'll eventually settle for one of d ladies, but just not yet. If u are an avid fan of BBA, you'll notice that nigerian contestants do not cling to any woman until d later parts of d show. If u asked me, I think melvin likes maria and dillish. If he's gonna settle for any, its between them both. And I also think d earlier confessions elikem had abt feza while in d diamonds would hv played some part in d way melvin chose to treat feza like "a friend". I didn't watch BBA Revolution so don't know about Kelvin but the thing that Uti and Karen and to an extent Goldie had going for them was that they were polarizing figures. You either loved them or hated them. There was no middle ground. Fortunately for Uti and Karen, the majority of viewers loved them, hence their victory. With Goldie we saw how the whole Africa dissed her for being Prezzo's door mat.
Melvin, on the other hand, so far is a character u'd be indifferent to. He's forgetable.

@carago ... I have very good gaydar that detects even macho rugby-playing jocks but Melvin doesn't ping at all. His behavior with these ladies is so confusing made me wonder if my gaydar was broken. But you're right, for Naija inmates through the seasons, he's nearly as exciting as Geraldine from the Revolution.

I read he's close to Denrele but that does NOT make him gay. And @Drama, being lusted after by women doesn't make one hetero either. Only a minority of gays are flaming like Bassey (who's now my favourite guy after Urkel's ouster).

Again, I don't think Mel is gay; he's either just very slow or your typical, vapid charisma-free male model. But there's definitely something lost in translation across the screen because if I count them: Selly, Pokello, Huddah, Feza, Dilish, and now Maria all appear to have been attracted to him at some point. And he's blocked each and everyone of them.

Ohhh, i forgot to mention that the general conclusion at Diamond about Elikem is that he is a traitor . When the HMs talked late into the morning today, they discussed how unfair it was for Elikem to manipulate selly into swapping Feza and Fatima wen he already had sometin going on with Pokello. They also concluded that Fatima has major feelings for elikem and that no one is buying the ' we are boys ' line she keeps dropping. They agreed to bring Elikem back to Diamond with or without his consent as payback.

Aaah ok, Nando's just a bit tooo hyper... if i'm really forced to choose I'd go with Mel as well, simply because he seems the best out of the lot, altho the good-goody thing can get a bit much... I have to agree with 30% male population, I loooove Dillish and i'm decidedly hetero (unlike Bassey, feel bad for him and everyone in the closet - must be hell to pretend day in, day out about something so natural as to who you're sexually attracted too), I also really like Cleo, but am truly baffled she hasn't seen through Haqueen yet, she seems like a smart girl... As for Melvin, dude isn't a very Smart guy obviously and compared to other Nigerian Hms in d past he isn't half as bubbly. However as regards the girls issue i have to give him marks for maintaining his composure. Isn't this the same reason we kicked LK4 out? Isn't Elikem already towing the same path . its waaay to early in a game to pick a girl and stick to her. Bolt did that , look at him now. i think Melvin is handling that front very very very well. When you have many girls after you , best thing to do is lean back and let them take each out. Lest i forget, Melvins mum is a teacher , teachers raise their kids by very high standards . i doubt there will be any midnight actions from Melvins bed.

STOLEN====I watched it but was not able to type as my hands were full with my boys. So this is my take on it. Melvin has had it with Maria, as he kept addressing Maria as running her mouth too much. He says Maria and Delish are small girls and shouldn't talk back at him when he tells them to "shut up". Delish didn't take it as seriously as Maria did but I wonder why melvin chose such a stupid topic as an opportunity to lash out at the girls. Initially I thought he was joking, but he went on and on and on and on. Eish! In my mind I was begging him to stop now before he loses some of his non Nigerian fans who are not obligated to vote for him. If it was some1 else asides from melvin and Nando, it would have become a nomination offence. And at the end of the argument , delish and Maria shouted" melvin we love you". I couldn't believe my ears.

But let's just say, given the very busy cross-border activity between our two countries; neighbourly relations are usually explosive (the good kind). @Hipsy ... Yacob was American-bred and he still had zero game. This is a dude who was obsessed with porn conventions. The most Ethiopian thing about him was his rigid views about how women should behave around men as evidenced by his judgemental attitude towards Meryl, Tatiana and Sheila. Not even an American upbringing could rid him of that.
