@nst, I personaly go hard on LK419's accent because I largely watch Ruby house. And from the little I heard of Nandos and Bimb's accents, LK4s overdoes it and sounds the most phony. It isn't the american accent I'm against, it happens that when you live in a country you pick their ways. Its the overdoing it that annoys me and LK4 does and you can tell he is working very hard at it, like the Being Mandela girls.

@nakabo, it's surprising oooo!.......nando ds...he calls motamma,'montana' lol n dat he's gettin 2 know her! He spied cleo durin da arena games but hakeem's all over her so he'll back off. LOL! Ja... Tashi killed me with laughter this morning during the exercises. She was the only one up when everybody else was asleep. 1on1 with the instructor - trying to chat him up, but exercises were shutting that big mouth. Hehehe... but she was nice to him though.

Fatima ds, she's a lil tired n in a better mood 2day. She's paired wit elikem(have a feelin it's not a coincedence). She thinks angelo n annabel's pairin is quite interestin 2 watch as she thinks they like each other. She wishes dat sum of da hsmates would be real n honest n stop backbiting. She says they've accepted dat she's da best cook n it's her strategy cuz they won't nominate her cuz they say they'll starve if she leaves or is swapped. She thinks feza's actin n dat she likes hakeem but actin (seriously?). Betty's also actin 4 her. She thinks nando n motamma r 4 real. She says Feza keeps sayin dat hakeem's younger dan her so can't date him but she thinks it's all bullcrap n pretense. Dis girl's crazy wit all her wierd theories n ideas

@cnglema ... Swahili is actually bantu-based, which explains the similarity with Xhosa/Zulu, but it came about around the 7th Century when said bantu languages were mixed with Arabic (and a bit of portuguese) forming the new language Swahili.

As for your client ... there are various ways you can greet him ... Since he's from TZ, his Swahili is probably a purer form than the one used in Kenya where we tend to use a lot of English with it.

Universally popular: Habari Yako? (How are you? or literally What's your news?) and he'll answer: Mzuri Sana (Very Good)

Another one is: Hujambo?, Sometimes shortened as Jambo? He'll reply: Sijambo.

Or the more formal: Shikamo? Answer: Marahaba.

Or Salamu za asubuhi?(Good Morning) Salamu za mchana? (Good Afternoon) or Salamu za jioni? (Good Evening?) to which he'll simply answer: Salama.

Or if he's a casual friend, especially Kenyan you'd use the very informal: Mambo? (What's up?) And he'd answer: Mambo poa, or just poa (cool).

There so many others depending on the occasion and the way you relate to the person you're greeting but I can't fit them all here. :-)
