Football fans brace yourselves: December 08, 2012 will witness the kick-off of the first Soweto Derby encounter between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs for the 2012/2013 season.

The meeting between these Soweto Giants comes in the week where Orlando Pirates were held to a goalless draw by an unfancied Chippa United outfit, meaning they remain three points behind the log leaders(Chiefs).

Chiefs on the other hand showed no mercy to Ajax Cape Town trashing them 3-0 making sure that they maintain their spot at the top. Historically this game has seen some classic encounters between these two giants.

So it will certainly not be easy to predict the winner as there are no favourites when it comes to this match, every player wants to rise to the occassion and room for mistakes is limited.

So fellow bloggers; who do you think is gonna take this one and have the bragging rights for the next month?

Tickets for this match have been sold out a week ago and for those who missed out on those tickets can catch the match on their tellies.

Catch all the action live on Supersport 4 / SABC 1 at 15:30 on Saturday, 08 December 2012.

I must commend Supersport for such a beautiful build up, so on point. The game could have gone either way as both teams waisted plenty of chances. Good game though the first half was a bit scrappy both teams lost position a lot. Chiefs still on top
