The racy couple had been dating for 10 years at the time and chatted about their interest in reality TV and their desire to enter The Amazing Race.
Blast to last week's
Idols finale and there they were, as guests. Secretly married without us ... or so I thought when I first spotted them ...
It's been 11-and-a-half years now so I was convinced that they must have tied the knot without letting us know or something but no-no they still haven't.
Turns out Gugu needs to officially change his name from "The fastest brother in Africa" to "the slowest" because this is the only ring Letshego has to show off (you can't bend your finger in it):
Instead of making wedding plans the pair have been spending their time transforming Letshego into Linda Hamilton in Terminator:
I quizzed them about what's going on - why they have no marriage plans yet etc - and discovered that they're too busy exhausting themselves in different races and events round the country. They said that they haven't found the right time to make it happen because they're so busy with other things.
At the moment they're training for a cycling race in Cape Town ... not the Argus ... I think it's the Cape Epic that's coming up in the first half of next year. I can't remember exactly because I was too busy wondering how much time it took Letshego to mould her guns.
Longer than it takes to plan a wedding? I reckon so.
Are they worth it? Definitely.
Should Gugu speed up and propose? Yip!
