GENERATIONS VS ISIDINGO

These two soapies are the best for two different reasons.GENERATIONS is the best when you look at AR's because many people watch it as they have been watching it since they were young en are loyal to it while ISIDINGO is the best for keeping viewers glued to their screens wit their tight en brilliant storylines.

If these two soapies had to go head-to-head one wonders which one would be victorious.  GENERATIONS: the way the show was 3 - 4 years ago i'd say dat GENERATIONS is the best compared to ISIDINGO but with recent storylines, the type of cast it has and the overall show one is not to sure.

Once upon a time GENERATIONS had the type of cast that kept you wanting for more. The likes of Julia Motene, Ntsiki, Anne & Dudu Kunene ... the list is endless.

At that point tha storylines were on point, the script was superb. Everyone waited anxiously for 20:00pm. Now, many hate or dislike that timeslot as what was once the best thing about it has become the worst thing about it. Everything just went from bad to worse.

We had our major characters leave and the storylines just kept on getting worse everyday. Being one of the few shows that has the best talent Mzansi has to offer one would think that they would use that to their advantage but nothing.GENERATIONS has become the show that was.

I'll not even talk about the level of acting by some actors - its beyond bad. Many still watch it even in the state it is, so maybe m da only one that has these views about it.

ISIDINGO: As one of the few old soapies this country has, the viewership has not been consistant yet with that it still managed to be named one of the best this country has.

This is the soapie that kept us glued to our screens back in the day en still do now. Many consider it their personal kind of drug as it keeps on getting better everyday. Having the best cast - or knowing how to get the best out of their cast -  storylines that keep you entertained, scripts that leave you wanting more.

Almost everything about this soapie is just top stuff which is why they clean all the important awards come award season. A few worries there & there but with such entertainment, you just ignore them.

A few of the other soapies in our country are giving these two a run for their money as our industry just keeps on getting bigger & better now. Between the two of them - which is the best soapie we have in our country en which one could be debated till there is nothing to say? Hope my story is a good read.

As for me Isidingo is the best between the two, the reason why Isidingo does not have a lot of viewer is the time slot, they should move it to 8pm. then you will see many Generations loyal viewers like me will move to Isidingo. Then Generation will see what kind of rubbish they are making us watch.

At the moment, Isidingo is waaay better than Generations. It's just Generations has loyal viewers. Also the storylines are just getting rididculous. An example, the baby (Sammy) yesterday looked younger and lighter in complexion than the one they showed the day of the birth! Or maybe I'm the one that didn't see properly...

Isidingo is better than Generations and we watch Gen becoz it has become a culture, daily routine but the story lines are boring. I watch Isidngo omnibus on Sundays.

Some characters, eyi.

LOL The General i also noticed that Sammy has changed.. Isidingo has to compete with Rhythm city, sewendelaan and from april the new soapie that is coming to mnet. I say they should play it at 19:30 and then we see who is the bauss between them and Scandal.. Generations isnt going anywhere, boring or not it will remain the most watched soapie because we come far with it.. But i think Isidingo's storylines are the pow wow.

Phew, i managed to finish.

Anyway, Isidingo is the best. M one of the loyal Gen viewer but the story lines suck. If Isidingo were to play at 20h00, i'll personally migrate to Isidingo full time.

For me the best soapies right now are: 1. Rhythm City (even though there isn't a 'major' storyline at the moment) 2. Isidingo 3. Muvhango 4. 7de laan (it's also getting kinda boring) 5. Generations The reason I didn't put Scandal is because I don't watch it, and I don't follow it. With other soapies like Muvhango, 7de laan and Isidingo I don't watch everyday, but I do watch often...

Generations I would say is a BAD HABIT you know the story line is bad but you still watch it ...................I wont lie I lost interest when Karabo went mad after her miscarraige and it got worse when the new cast came in the likes of Nicholas and Katja . But Surprise surprise I still watch it to this day "crazy" I know !

Isidingo is by far the best Mzansi has ever had , The story line is real and interesting , the actors are amazing ............ And it is my personal favorite .

Ive recently started watching Muvhango and it cud give Generations a run for their money if they changed the time slot 21:00 is too late for some of us !

Yeah some storylines of Gen are so poor and distasteful....the problem Isidingo is not doing well on ARs it is because of the channel it is being aired...honestly speaking SABC 3 is for the elite class and the same will happen with The Wild on Mnet.

Again people must realise that soapies are not reality or actuality shows tjo.You cannot expect everything to reflect your daily life....

Many people are lifting Isidingo up the sky but they only watch the omnibus ka Sunday hence its ARs are so down...so people stop preaching and start watching the show on a daily basis period....because that thing ya gore people do not have a choice at 20h00, I do not buy that.....4 million people can never be wrong so Generations is cool.
